One of the sports locations in Gwangju is the Municipal International Swimming Pool located at Nambu University. This is where the closing ceremony of the 2019 Gwangju World Swimming Championships was held. Since then, it has been operated as a swimming pool. Swimming and skin scuba (free diving) courses are in operation, and many people use them. When a sports competition is held, the stadium usually remains in the area, but it is shunned because it is not properly operated, but it is used for sports events in Gwangju, but it continues to operate as a swimming pool afterwards, which seems to be the best example of the future operation of the sports venue.
