Since graduating I became a manager in McDonalds managing and training staff (I swear it’s not just flipping burgers). I also worked in 2 SEN Schools gaining my 2 years TA experience before I started a PGCE whilst still working in McDonalds; afterall  a TA wage is shocking!

I adore pugs; I am a Scout leader of a Scout Troop of over 40 Scouts; gardening (I suck at it); messy church with my goddaughter (infact anytime with her) and doing up a house I’ve just brought!

SEN, managing behaviours and I’d love to learn BSL (huge Makaton fan already) taught my goddaughter the sign for ‘more and cake’ her mother hates me for it (and other signs too) - she’s only 18 months old! 
I’ve adored watching the impact cued articulation can have on pupils who require speech therapy and another thing I would use on a daily basis.

I graduated with a BA Honours degree in Physical Education at the University of Brighton.

I have worked at three dance schools, one of which I was Assistant Manager for.

I have worked as a National Citizen Service team leader for two consecutive Summers now, a social development programme for young people aged 15-17. I also took part as a young person at the age of 17. This involved living independently away from home (learning life skills), coming up with a social action project, presenting ideas to entrepreneurs and learning about stepping up and becoming a leader. Becoming a leader for the programme has given me the opportunity to give back what was once taught to me. Although challenging at times, it is an extremely rewarding job.
 
I can also speak Spanish, Italian and German, and am learning BSL (close to finishing Level 2).

I am a qualified First Aider (Emergency, Work, Outdoor) and am also qualified in Level 1 Windsurfing and Sailing.

I have been training and competing in Martial Arts for 14 years and have been passionate about sports ever since.

My passion for sports and dance is being carried with me into my teaching journey. I am passionate about the standing of dance in the curriculum and am looking forward to implementing it in my teaching.

I have come straight from my under graduate degree to PGCE so I am exicted to get straight into teaching life. 
During the Easter and summer holidays during my undergraduate degree I worked (and hope to contiue so in future at half terms) at a chldren's activtiy day camp. During my time there I have been trained as a level 1 fencing coach, which allows me to teach children  up to age 14. 
This job has also allowed me to explore different types of activities that can be done with children of different age ranges and needs including SEN and EAL.

Graduated from Queen Mary University of London with a BA Hons English in 2016. London definitely took a piece of my heart when I moved up there and I plan on returning there after my PGCE. I worked prior to uni (and  part-time during my course when possible) as a P.E teacher around a variety of schools in Kent which motivated me greatly to pursue primary teaching as a career. Winter really just got too much. Long term ambition is to teach in London and the UAE as it's closer to family.
