In both the TTH and the BC the guy in the sotry kills at least one or two people for example in the TTH he kills an old man and puts him under the floor boards, and then in BC he hangs a cat killing it and then also ends up killing his wife and hiding her body behind a brick wall.

In the TTH the narrator cuts up the old man into pieces, and in the BC the narrator considers chopping up his dead wife. He doesn't, of course, but it's funny to think that in both stories the want to chop their victims up. Poe must like chopping things.
