Singapore: Responsible Consumption and Production (no.12), Climate action (no. 13), and Partnership for the goals (no.17)
Laos: Reduced inequalities (no.10), quality education (no.4)

How can individuals contribute to these goals?
Singapore:
Individuals can do their part by purchasing what is necessary and not over purchase to contribute to food wastage (eg. when food expires, people will throw it out)

reduce carbon footprint by limiting use of air-condition, reduce usage of one-time use disposables

More can be done on on educating the masses on proper recycling methods as we are often told to practice the 3 'R's, however, we are not taught on how to properly classify our recyclables as well as the correct way to dispose of them.
More effort should be put into actually inculcating the habits of recycling

Singapore: Limited land constraints (which also limits food, water and energy resources); not enough, for water, even with new technology, we are still highly dependable on our neighbouring country for water and food; solar energy is not enough; can do more especially considering that we are more aware of the importance of sustainability; Responsible consumption and production -> when new devices come out we just change it (fast fashion and unsustainable consumption habits). We do not try to regenerate these things.

Laos: concern about quality education; lack of knowledge about waste management and waste separation; need to teach the students and the people on the importance of environmental protection; inn Laos, is even worse in Singapore; some of the schools don't have the proper infrastructure available. education on sustainability is not present in schools. Companies also often do not have concerns over environmental sustainability. On clean water -> local people are going to the river to collect the waste in the water bodies; important to teach the locals about the significance of having clean water and protecting our ecosystem. Waste water is often dumped into the water system, and it is often utilised without proper filtration.

How can individuals contribute to these goals?

Singapore: For individuals, it is not sufficient to just be educated. There is a lack of motivation to be sustainable and there are also barriers to being sustainable. To help individuals be more sustainable, incentives can be given to reduce single-use plastic waste. Greater awareness can be raised towards zero waste groceries that are already available in Singapore but not widely utilised.
