Dominick already showed interest in this series but I felt it was important to add one of these Boxcar Children books because this would be a good series to make a goal to finish. Especially since he has shown interest in them. This specific book is about how the boxcar children find someone snooping around the library in Port Elizabeth. This would be a good story to use for comprehension activities and retelling events that take place in the story.

This is a story about baseball, friendship, and confidence. While I know Dominick prefers non fiction stories, I feel he would enjoy this because it is about one of his favorite sports and he knows how to be a good friend.

This is another historical fiction that is about the Battle of Trenton where they experienced the American Revolution. The students who are transported back in time will watch history unfold in a first hand experience. Again, because of Dominick's interests I feel he would enjoy this book that has a twist of history as well.
