I agree with this quote but I don't want to undersell how hard this is. Students nowadays are very apathetic when it comes to their education and parents don't seem to push or advocate. This is a huge societal issue that can't just be solved in the classroom.

I sing or dance to my students when they have their phones out and obviously should not. They seem to take it better than you asking over and over again. It has turned into my kids tattling on each other and telling each other to put them away
