Studying outside could give you new experiences and independence, but might involve higher costs and adjustments. The most important thing is to choose a university that excels in the field you're passionate about.

By:Enrico Muhammad Enru/13

Hi Anya! for me, Yogyakarta is a really good option because of the cost of living. It's much cheaper than bigger cities like Jakarta/Bandung. That means you can save more money while you're studying. But that's not the only reason. Yogyakarta is also known for its rich culture and history. Another thing to consider is the quality of education. Yogyakarta has many great universities, including some of the top-ranked in Indonesia. So, you'll get a good education no matter which university you choose.

I think it's a great idea to visit both Yogyakarta and other cities to see which one feels right for you. Talk to people who have studied there and check out the universities you're interested in.

In the end, the best decision is the one that feels right for you. Good luck!

Hi Anya. In my opinion, it depends on where your heart leads you. Besides that, it also depends on the major you want to take because each university has its own outstanding programs. However, if I had to choose, I might opt to study outside of Yogyakarta. This is because, if you study away from your hometown, you’ll have more opportunities to expand your network. Additionally, you’ll experience a new atmosphere that’s different from what you're used to. You’ll also become more independent in your daily life, as you’ll be required to manage your time, money, and other aspects by yourself. Furthermore, there are many excellent universities outside of Yogyakarta that you can choose from.

hi Anya,in my opinion , choosing between a university in Yogyakarta or one outside the city depends on your personal priorities and needs. Yogyakarta is known for its supportive student environment and educational focus, while universities outside the city might offer new experiences and opportunities. Consider factors such as program quality, costs, and personal comfort when making your decision. Choose the option that aligns best with your academic goals and lifestyle.

Hi Anya. If I had to choose between a university in Yogyakarta or one outside the city, I would recommend a university in Yogyakarta.

This is because Yogyakarta is known for its reputation as an educational hub with a supportive and student-friendly environment. The city also has a relatively lower cost of living compared to other major cities, which can help ease financial burdens. Additionally, Yogyakarta offers a conducive atmosphere for studying and personal growth, with easy access to various cultural and social activities that can enrich your academic experience. This allows you to focus more on your studies without having to adapt to a drastically new environment.

Yoga Arif f / 34/12A

I understand how important this decision is for you. Personally, I think continuing your studies in Yogyakarta could be a great choice. Let me explain why.

First, Yogyakarta is known as a student city, offering a vibrant academic atmosphere with several reputable universities. If you already feel comfortable in this environment, staying could provide stability. You won’t need to adapt to a completely new city, allowing you to focus more on your studies.

Moreover, staying in Yogyakarta could help you save on living expenses, as you’re already familiar with the cost of living here. You’ll also be close to your support system, like family and friends, which can be very helpful during stressful times.

By:Enrico M Enru / 13

Hello Anya, Zulfa's here. I'm afraid I can't decide it for you. It's just up to you. But maybe i can tell you some things to do to help you decide it. First, you shall think about the good things and the bad things of both options by yourself. Doing some researches would help you find them. Second, talk to your parents, family, and closest friends. Third, think again about your actual goals. Setting some realistic goals would really help you decide which university to go to. Forth, put your ego aside. I mean, some people want to go to a university just because it's a very well-known university, or something like that. Well, that's all I can help. I hope that helps!

Ajwa Fadhila Zulfa XII A/4

Hi Anya! I'm Queena, in my opinion, you should reconsider the major and university you want. Find out more about whether the major you're interested in is stronger at a university in Yogyakarta or outside Yogyakarta. After that, you should carefully consider the advantages and disadvantages of choosing a university in Yogyakarta versus one outside Yogyakarta, including aspects like your lifestyle, costs, environment, etc. I also think you should communicate with your parents to understand their views and whether they permit you to attend a university outside Yogyakarta.

Zakiah Queena S/36/XII A

Anya, choosing a university is a big decision, and it's natural to feel hesitant. In my mind, choosing a university in Yogyakarta offers a conducive learning environment, affordable living costs, and a rich culture. However, the choice of majors may be limited, competition is fierce, and job opportunities in certain fields can be limited. If you want a wider choice of majors, greater job opportunities, and new life experiences, a university outside Yogyakarta might be more suitable. Not everyone will agree with me, but I think that choosing a university outside of Yogyakarta is better. But in the end, the best decision is the one that best suits your interests, talents, and goals.

shafa zaahirah / 30 / XIIA
