I like that students can share slides and hands-on work. As they explain, we can ask clarifying questions if needed. I've used Loom, but I haven't used Jamboard until this week when attending the two classes. I like how everyone can write their thoughts down quickly and in a non-threatening environment.

Using Loom with Jamboard can demonstrate how teachers can provide deep, blended, and personalized learning strategies. It can also highly engage students in their own learning. I would love to use this as an exit ticket or form of assessment for either independent or group collaboration.

I am interested to dig into Jamboard and find ways to use it with my first grade students. I think some of the ideas would be too complicated to be effective for 6-7 year olds. I think it could be a really useful and fun way for them to collaborate on different math problems and share their work with each other. I would also be interested in making graffiti walls of writing ideas with them.

Every year our fifth grade class does a state report project, and then share their project with parents during a "state fair". The project is usually done during the first part of May. This year we had to do the project online and students did them using power point. It would be fantastic if students used Jamboard/Loom so that they could actually share the information in their project using their own voice.

It gives them an opportunity to explain the strategies they used, and can even allow teachers to assess their understanding. I noticed that the boy who was explaining multiplication, was explaining the procedure, but wasn't quite explaining the why behind the steps, or talking about place value. This would be an amazing source for students to do presentations which would allow them to practice that language and work on explaining their thinking! I teach kindergarten and I can see this being used for ten frames, addition, subtraction, and more!

I fell in love with Loom this spring. My sixth graders were to have researched a topic in world war and present to the class. But since there was no physical class, students made Google slides and then made a loom to present their research. I shared these with the students, and it was just like they were in front of the class presenting their topic. I want to try Jamboard. I really missed my camera and white board at school when I was helping with online math. I will try practicing wtih Jamboard to see if this will help out. I also liked how it was used, in conjunction with Loom, to show understanding.

I really liked the students who went on and explained how to do a math problem. They were able to come up with examples and explain their thinking while they wrote on the Jamboard or Canvas app. I think it is really nice to hear them explain their thinking and see their work. Often we just get answers back and that isn't super helpful when assessing learning. I would totally do this with my students!

I liked the idea of using this tool for Math problems. This is a fun and interactive way for kids to teach each other how to do a Math problem. Kids are more likely to listen to another child than a lesson from the Teacher. It's also a good way to have a child with severe anxiety present something to the class. I would like to try this with my Math groups. This is a tool which promotes deep learning because they can work through the problem and then go on to explain how they did it to their peers. You can then have a discussion about why, etc.

During on of the math trainings this summer, my facilitator created a Jamboard and told each of us to solve the problem on our page of the Jamboard. Then, if we wanted to share our strategy, she turned to our Jamboard page. I thought that was so cool and I would love to utilize Jamboard in math the same way. I was thinking Jamboard could be used as an exit ticket or as a prewrite for writing.

This requires a deeper level of thinking by the student. This is a great example of blended learning in the classroom. I would love to teach a lesson (with much class discussion) and then a great assessment would be to have students explain through Loom and Jamboard the concept we learned. Students will better understand and explain the concept this way.

I loved the idea of using it for students to explain their understanding of a math concept. Having students show work from home is nice, but when it's only done with paper and pencil, it's difficult to tell how much they did on their own. A video will allow them to show their understanding and share it with other students! I also love the idea of them sharing projects like the girl did with "Solar Energy".

The idea that sticks out most to me is having students explain their thinking on a recorded jamboard presentation. I don't think it would work as well with virtual note-taking unless you have touchscreen devices.

What a great idea to let students use Jamboard and Loom to share their understanding of an essential standard. These presentations are excellent sources of student knowledge that can be shared with all stakeholders. As I was watching the 2-digit multiplication example, I thought that it would be great for peers to share and explain their thinking to each other. This way students can learn from each other.

I like this idea, but not quite sure how to have art students use it.

Sometimes during speech therapy, students need a diagram of their mouth showing where to place the tongue to make certain sounds. It would be great to use jamboard and loom to make a video of me drawing a diagram and explaining placement for the R sound. This could then be shared with all my students working on this sound. Then we could do the reverse. Students could draw it out for me and describe how to make their sound to demonstrate their understanding.
