2: In my opinion I think that the Space Race invention was the most important because it would launch things in space and it would need a lot of attention due to it being in space.(it could destroy other things in space)

Their culture and history are going to be very different from mine or yours, and the Navajo customs and language are mentioned throughout the book. Without knowing their history/culture, we won't fully understand the book and what the Navajo have gone through, and then we might also mistake the book for an event that never happened instead of a historical fiction book. We can also get a view of how the Navajo felt and dealt with throughout history and therefore understand them.

2) A lot of the science advances during WW 2 seem like they progressed, but they haven't, and that is the reason WW 2 was the most destructive war in history. For example, the study of atoms led to the atomic bomb. The few sciences that were during WW 2 were medicine and the Space Race. The new types of remedies save thousands of lives, instead of ending them because of mediocre medicine. Because of that, we now have transfusions, skin grafts, organ donations, and pain relievers. The Space Race has progressed our knowledge of space and our lives. Without it, we would have been thinking just like our ancestors when they saw the sky.

3) From the articles, it is very obvious to think that Kii Yazhi/Ned Begay will become a Navajo code talker for numerous reasons. The first one is that Kii Yazhi is a Navajo, and this provides clues about what he is to become. The second is that he lives during WW 2, and WW 2 is the time when the Navajo code talkers were formed. The third is that the cover and the prologue give it all away. So we can all guess it is safe to assume Kii Yazhi/Ned Begay will be a code talker.

Knowing Navajo culture and history will help put us into his shoes, and better understand Navajo references in the book.

2. During the time that WWII lasted, a lot of people and communities had to adapt to what was happening, the most important being advances in the field of medicine. Medicine and treatment had to be sped up to meet the number of injured flooding the hospitals. During and after this time, advances in medicine and treatment had to be made to meet the requirements of millions of injured, which resulted in advancement in the medical field, with penicillin and other antibiotics being invented.

But we don't really know if the Author is African American and what the history was like back then for African Americans. But we need to understand what was it made for. Like, was it made for informing us about the war? Or is it some type of genre that makes the book interesting and has a bit of information about the war in the beginning like in the first story in the book "Listen, My Grandchildren".
