It impacts everything!
- Kids accessing screens at young ages, including social networking
- No more "away from home," always accessible
- Used to getting things immediately
  - Instant gratification
- Difficulties being bored/hard being creative
- Can talk to people everywhere, incredible!
- Have to teach media literacy, needs to be a bigger part of education?
Everyone has access to nearly limitless quantities of knowledge
- Kind of wild that so many people have such easy access to it
- Actually tapping into it and critically understanding how to use it and understand it is very difficult

Questions - We all have experience with CC and using a mic for students who are hard of hearing.

Wish audible books were more accessible for students who are learning to read. This is an elementary comment.

High school - wish math type was more accessible. Buttons for old-school calculators and calculators on phones and tablets don't always align.

Planning and curriculum seems to be moving more toward UDL, even if it isn't called UDL. We are always trying to reach different types of learners and assess in different ways. Being flexible for your students. Anything to get them engaged.

It can be challenging and engaging at the same time. It rides the fine line of productive struggle with students. They are familiar with technology and it can give them a lot more opportunities when leveraging it.

When we design for everyone, everyone benefits. It helps build on other's strength and lets everyone play a role.

Doing centers and giving specific times to work in different approaching. Providing multiple opportunities for students to receive instruction that best fits them.

In an ideal world, what technologies should students have access to, how often, for what?

1-1 devices with accessibility. With new AI tools it can provide brief 1-1 tutoring on specific skills (Khanmigo).

Engagement. It is a challenge to engage students that have things like ADHD or any other barriers that a student is facing. Engagement is a huge challenge within a math classroom. Instant feedback with some programs to know right away how they are doing. Rather than doing 20 math problems completely wrong and starting from scratch. Using a lot of IXL which is curriculum lessons that are practiced assignments.

Students should have limited to no access to their personalized cellphones during the school day. 1 to 1 devices should be taken home or stay at school? Elementary students should keep things at school and not take devices home. High school students should be able to bring devices home to complete assignment and notes.
