Everyone thinks that she isn't smart that's why they give her easy work. She gets frustrated when they give her easy work. One day her mom assigned her a helper that helps her at school. When Melody is researching on Stephen Hawkins, she noticed that he had a computer that helped him talk. She pointed out until her assent noticed what she was talking about. Her teacher set home a paper for the computer saying that this might be helpful. Her mother and father agree to get her the computer. Melody notices that her mom is sick and isn't feeling well. Later on she realizes that her mom is going to have a baby. Her mom has a baby girl named Penny. After a little while having the computer, they let her bring it to school.
