Increase visibility - in local Teams, school, college, university and wider. Academic and professional services, never OR


use your voice: to challenge, support, signpost, highlight concerns etc.


Be empathic. Compassion is key, always.


Walk the walk - be inclusive in your practices. Not defensive if challenged. Hear what is said, not what you think will be said.


Be solution focused rather than consistently voicing your frustrations


We have two perspectives: (1) our personal interpretation; (2) the institutional context. Don’t create new minorities by being too focused on what’s important to you…(too narrow minded)


Improved communication is vital.


Take accountability


Create a centre for excellence (or several) to show where we started, what we did, and where we got to.
