If you are a frontline worker or team and have identified a training course or event that will help you in your current work with people experiencing homelessness, but your organisation is not able to fund it, we may be able to help. Individuals can apply for up to £500 to cover the cost of training or events and groups can apply for up to £1,500. 

At the Frontline Network we are committed to listening to the voices of staff working directly with people experiencing homelessness, and to responding to the challenges being faced in the sector. The Training Fund exist to support frontline workers with people experiencing homelessness to access training and skills development opportunities, if their organisation is unable to fund them.

The Money and Mental Health project is a service offered by Kent Citizens Advice offices to help clients living with mental health issues, who need advice dealing with debt and other related issues.

Whilst the primary focus of the project is in helping with debt/money issues, the service we offer is holistic and where we identify other advice that might be needed, our project workers will make sure that appropriate help is given.  This may involve, for example, giving advice on benefits, housing and employment issues.  We are more limited in the advice we can give regarding family/relationship matters but may be able to sign-post clients to other organisations, which would be able to offer more specialist advice in this area.

Other findings include that one in five (20%) people report worsening depression because of the cost of living, and one in ten (10%) developing disordered eating as a result.

If you identify someone who may need support about their own or someone else's gambling, you can signpost them to GamCare where they can speak to some and get gambling support and specialised money guidance. They can also access our Money Guidance toolkit and other online resources.
