Franklin Carmichael was a well known artist from 1920 to1930. He was a member of the Canadian group of seven and liked to paint Ontario based landscapes. One of his paintings are called mirror lake. The rest of his artworks are available to view at the Ontario art museum. He was born in may 4 1890 in Orilla. He died in 1945 in Toronto. I find his paintings very well detailed and seem alive in some sort of way. That’s why I like him as an artist. He was also friends with Emily Carr and a few others associated with the group of Seven . His mirror lake painting is one of the most powerful and popular of all time. It is so authentic and skillful the way he watercoloured The water in the photo. It looks masterful really. It was a very good choice in my opinion to choose this artist. Re-creating mirror lake will probably be super hard though.
