They travel in a constant speed in vacuum. This is the speed of light. Radio waves carry the least energy and gamma rays carry the most. A spectrum is a band of 7 colours. Our eyes can only see visible ways because they are tuned to those wave lengths which visible waves have. When a wave hits an object the waves interact with the molecules of the object. They absorb and reflect the light. The ray which is left the most like for example green for leaves is the colour we perceive the object to have.

I understood that energy is transmitted by electromagnetic waves, which are also known as "EM" waves. EM waves travel at the speed of light. There is a spectrum of EM waves, consisting of radio, microwave, infrared, visible, ultraviolet, x-ray and gamma waves. Visible waves are the only ones we can see but we can sense infrared waves. Gamma waves have the highest frequency, so they carry the most energy. We can see colors because the EM waves interact with the molecules of the object and the object absorbs all the colors in the spectrum except for one, which is the one we can see. For examples in a leaf, the leaf absorbs all the colors except for green, so that is the one we can see. This only applies for VIBGYOR.

We learned about Electromagnetic waves. I understood that EM waves are transverse and can move in vacuum's. We only sense visible light and Infrared. EM radiation is spread into a spectrum. EM waves travel at the speed of light. In the electromagnetic spectrum (EMS), Radio waves have the lowest frequency, whereas Gamma Ray has the highest frequency. EM waves help us see colors, they interact with the object so that some colors are absorbed and some reflected, this is how we see color.
