This book is about a young boy who is living in the city with his mother, but though he lives in the city it is not his home. He goes about his daily life in city trying to see the good, but all he wants to do is go back to where he is from. The boy Carols is trying to decide what to do with this token he found and people and birds are all after him. He meets a friend along the way to help show him what the token really is and how it can be used. This book is almost fairytale like. It Is about Jack and how he is does not always make the best choices. One day he makes an awful mistake and he has to have his friend Rapunzel help him fix it. I would read this book to fifth graders, because in the book it talks about how he makes mistakes, and does wrong but he sees later on that everything he did was awful and he wants to try and fix it. He relies on the help from a friend to fix his mistakes. I would read this book during either a history lesson over Ancient Greece, or in a literature lesson whenever we start learning about Greek mythology or Greek history. This book is a history book about what times were in like in the fifth century B.C. The book talks about cities, wars, food, transportation, religion. The book talks about a little bit of everything about the culture and country. This would be such a fun book to read to students throughout the week of the lesson. If I did not finish the book then I would have it in the classroom for the students to read during their free time.

I would read this book to students during a history lesson about the Vikings. I would put the plus symbol, because it would be a fun way to teach older students about the viking as well. This book talks about the location of the Vikings, how they lived, and worked. This is a great book to read because it gives a different view point than a text book. In the book three siblings go back in time through a book and they live like they are Vikings, they take on jobs and every day life activities that the Vikings are doing also. This story is about two brothers who are worried they might be in trouble with thieves so they run away to find help. I would read this book to students who are interested in adventures, and also to the students who are scared of a lot of things.
