This is because, over the last century, numerous brave people decided to step up and change the world of aeronautics forever. Amelia Earhart paved the way for women to fly planes as well as show them that they aren’t held down by the world’s limitations. Orville and Wilbur Wright made the first proper plane from scratch, showing that creativity and invention prevail above all. 

But in 2020, air travel suddenly ground to halt as COVID-19 took the stage. Suddenly air travel was feared as the virus spread, infecting unknowing passengers and using them to cross countries and continents. The aeronautics industry has frozen as its usage and popularity came crashing down. 

The situation isn’t any better, as COVID-19 is still spreading a year later. People are hiding in their homes, waiting for the virus to be contained and stopped. We are moving in the right direction, slowly working towards a normal life. Vaccinations and safety procedures are helping humans to fight back. But the question remains, will air travel be able to make a comeback?

After air travel has taken such a hit, the industry may never be able to get back on its feet. No one will ever view aeroplanes the way they used to, a feeling of trepidation and despair underlying as you enter the airport. So if aeroplanes don’t make it back, how will we travel across the world?

We may ride in rockets, going faster than we ever could around the world. Maybe flying cars will replace the motor/electric vehicle and become the only method of transportation. But one thing for certain is that no country or land will be able to trap and contain humans. We will eventually overcome these new barriers because we are an inventive species. The world may remain the same, but it’s the people that will change it. All it takes is one individual, one idea, and a whole revolution. 

This is all possible because over a century, people like the Wright brothers have changed the way that we travel. By creating a machine that uses aerodynamics and fuel to travel at insane speeds. faster than the speed of sound. 

This makes migration very easy. When in the past, people had to go months by boat to get to another land mass. Many people on these other forms of transport die due to disease. Air travel makes transportation easy, fast, and reliable.

The 2020 pandemic has meant that people cannot travel anymore. The flights and airports that were once busy are now collecting dust in an airport that looks like it is abandoned. The pandemic meant that countries like New Zealand closed their borders and let no one inside their country. This led to a decrease in the economy and in the tourism industry. 

Fast Forward a year later and different variants of the virus are spreading all around the world and the future of air travel isn’t looking too bright. Countries like New Zealand opened their borders to close countries like Australia in order to make the industry a little better. The travel industry started to offer flight tickets for really cheap prices. This just led to an increase in covid cases.

Once enough people get vaccinated the borders of certain countries like Australia and New Zealand. This may mean that the tourism industry as well as food supplies will be flown to these countries from all over the world and the air travel industry will have another shot at making a comeback.

I personally think that the air travel industry will make a comeback. I think that we can’t stay in lockdown forever. There is going to be an opening of borders eventually. If covid won’t go away, i think we are just going to have to find a way to live with it.

Many other people contributed to make Air traveling better for us, but will we be able to fly again? And if yes will we travel the same way we did before? 

Maybe not because Covid-19 cases are still somewhere in the world and there are worse versions of the Covid-19 Virus spreading in different parts of the world. Every country and the whole world wants to stop the spreading of the Covid-19 Virus. Countries are trying to stop the spread of the virus by vaccinating people, doing lockdown whenever there is a community case.

 In some countries, if there is 1 community case it can lead to a huge problem because it was hard for them to control the 1st wave of the virus, and then there is another case in the community that can lead to a big cluster and can create a huge problem. 

Everyone wants to meet their loved ones who are not with them, and this could be possible when the borders are open, but In these situations, it’s hard for some countries to open their borders.

People will be able to travel by airplanes and meet each other but after some time when the virus is controlled.

I personally think it’s not going to be the same again, we won’t be able to travel the same way we did before. Only vaccinated people will be allowed to travel again with masks on and 2-meter distancing will be mandatory.

One of the biggest worries is still new variants and infections coming in from outside. Travel from the United States is still closed to many destinations, especially in Europe. Countries like Singapore require a 2-week quarantine for international arrivals, even if they present a negative COVID-19 test.  Those without a permanent residence are being sent directly to an isolation ward. Manufacturers of heat cameras are seeing a spike in demand. Many countries are testing at the border. If you thought the line at JFK immigration control was torturous before, now consider what it’ll be like as you line up, take a swab test, and wait for the results. 

Some countries will not even take the chance of testing at the border. Especially if you’re coming from an outbreak hotspot. Entrance could be refused unless you have a certificate of immunity due to the fact that you’ve recovered from an infection or because you’ve been vaccinated. Some countries might not let you in if you’ve been vaccinated with Sputnik instead of Pfizer or Moderna, for example. Wristbands with barcodes.

Certainly in the short term, travel will become more defined by purpose. Any business travel will need to be strictly validated as an economic activity, with companies tightening the numbers of employees who travel for them. Countries will likely only open their borders where there is merit and it’s safe to let travelers through. This may mean temporary visas and more documentation that you’ll need to take with you when traveling.

We’re seeing already that the factors influencing this pandemic are numerous. Strictness and timing of lockdown measures, the robustness of public health systems, the weather, luck, and other factors are all at work. That means some countries and regions will recover first. We will see corridors of recovery open back up one by one. 

How this will look exactly is difficult to predict. For example, Israel and the UK are way ahead of other countries in terms of vaccine rollout. Might this mean that they’ll be among the first to reopen their doors? What about countries like Italy or Spain, which were among the hardest hit by the virus, and rely on tourism? Might they be more eager to restart travel, or will the depth of their nightmare mean that they are more reluctant to let foreigners in?



So how are we suppose to solve this?, and are we ever going to get back into the sky's?.
Air travel over the year's has been the hotspot in travelling around the world, so how can we fix this problem. The main ideas are flying cars, though it is hard to predict what is going to happen in the future, this is the most believed option. Though there are rumours about human sized drones instead of airplanes. Though the human size drones will most likely transport us to different city's or states, really there is no telling about the future. Technology is growing so fast that human drones or flying cars might be to easy to create, so no solution can really fix this problem. 

In my opinion, air travel is something that will help man kind achieve great hight's. if you think about it air travel helped us go to space, if air travel was never a thing, forget about the sky's no one would have thought about going to space. But due to Covid-19, air travel might have taken a blow that would leave a scar forever. We might not be able to enjoy Air travel as much as we did before.

Is it still possible to fly in and out of countries? NO, for your information, this delta came from someone overseas, and that’s where Covid-19 came from one passenger on the plane, infecting everyone on the plane, who went from there to there, spreading it everywhere. It may be possible to fly around in our own country but not to other countries, if we want to be safe and sound from the Coronavirus, then we shouldn't go to other countries, what so ever, well just have to go, to countries who are safe, and we have to make sure not to give to any other lands, island.


This year could've been similar to the ones back then, where air travel wasn't introduced, and some are gonna find a way for affordable aircraft for every individual, in the world, what if the world of air travel just dies, because we don't know how long the virus is gonna be with us, and It might end up being here for a century.

Over the years air travel has grown exponentially . BUT will we have the same excitement travelling in a plane to other countries ? The answer is no . Well some might say that but others may still feel joy travelling to a new or their home land but it really depends on who it is thus we have to self isolate ourselves for about 2 weeks straight which is more of a mood killer. 

Travelling the globe is a huge dream for some people but because of the new virus (covid-19) it has stopped air travel and has set many countries into alert level 4 . Many people isolating themselves from their loved ones

So in conclusion the answer is no there may not be air travel again , there may be flying cars in the next decade or so or everyone will have their own private jets or some advanced transport to travel to different countries.

Will we ever have the joy to actually get on a plane and see different countries? Who knows, we might stop using air travel for a few decades or so, but how will we be able to travel? In my opinion, we might be able to travel but maybe with boats or our own personal aircraft due to covid. Will pilot licences be given out just like driver licences? We may be just going in that direction although private jets are really expensive. and definitely way more expensive than getting a one-way boarding pass to Hawaii, but then again everything around us the prices are rising, electric cars, properties, groceries you name it. Maybe in the future we might be able to afford a private jet so it’s not yet “Impossible”. Covid has definitely put the earth back a few years, so it may take some time for all of us to get back to where we were. Covid has not only put a pause to air travel it has put a pause on our sanity people will literally go crazy if they stay in lockdown. It’s even worse for small countries like New Zealand, NZ may have some beautiful places but it’s just not enough, especially if we have to stay within our own cities. In conclusion, travel is basically a key to our sanity. Air travel has grown rapidly in the past few years so we shouldn’t just let it go just like that.

with an incredible amount of creativity. They created the first succsessful airplane. 

From there, a revoloution of air travel was created. But fast foward a bit.. with Covid taking our world by storm, *a bad one*, no one has been able to travel recently.  This has also had harmful impacts on the public. 

with no one able to travel for long periods of time, people are now trapped inside their homes. 

Legal citizens cannot return home, no one can visit their loved ones. So it has been a hard time for everyone.

Now this year there have been variations of the virus, and that took a huge effect on countries like New Zealand. what was once a covid free country, a safe utopia. Now another country in isolation. 

What is the fututre of air travel for New Zealand? we can't say for sure. In my opinion, I know we'll be back on our feet in no time.

We strive to become a covid and delta free country and by doing so we'll be able to travel outside NZ again. But that requires all of us working as a community to stay strong, and stay in doors. Only then we will be able to achive this, we've done it before and we can do it again.

How has COVID changed the way we travel at the present?

At present we are only able to fly within our own country but the costs are already going up. There are fewer people travelling in general by air due to COVID. But people are travel shorter distances and are visiting more local attractions. 

Maybe in the future, we will not be able to visit as many foreign countries as we have in the past, maybe you will have to travel to one country and stay for a certain amount of time before moving again.

My opinion is that we will be about to fly to other countries soon, but it will cost more no matter your destination. There will be more restrictions and rules before you can leave your country. This may have an effect on immigration and migration of people all over the world. 

Covid has changed the way we look at the world as a whole. Lots of things have changed because of covid including air travel. Who really knows what will happen in the future.

Covid 19 has forced most nations of the world to restrict air travel. Ever since Late December 2019 with the Patient Zero for Covid 19, the world has been in panic. Covid isn’t the deadliest but it is the most damaging virus in recent times. How is Air Travel affected and can it return? Everyone asks this question but as more variants and mutations are formed within the Covid 19 genetic code, air travel seems to be unlikely for the near future. 

With the rise of these new variants and mutations, some of which are spreading because of air travel, one has to ask - Is Air Travel ever going to return? To this I say yes, however it will take potentially a decade. First vaccines will need to be researched and made with clinical approval, Vaccine Mandates will need to be enforced and mandatory quarantines in Moderate Risk Countries (Any country with more than 50 cases).

Amelia Earheart is the first woman to have ever flown across the Atlantic alone. Her fate is unknown as somewhere over the Pacific she disappeared in July 1937. She has since then been declared dead. 

I think that we won’t be able to travel by plane again or at least not for a long time. Although air travel will never be the same again we might be able to travel again. There are many different types of transport but the main way people travel overseas is by plane. 

Domestic travel is already available in some countries but the borders keep on opening and closing. Some borders are opening like the Australia and New Zealand bubble but as we know it is now closed as we are all in lockdown. Domestic travel is still happening in some countries but not all as the cases are growing and we are starting to get new and deadlier variants.

We might still be allowed to travel overseas by plane in the future but it will never be the same again. We could travel if the cases stop growing, we don’t have any more variants and everyone or at least 90% of all humans are fully vaccinated.  This pandemic has changed our lives forever. Before covid, we didn’t have to wear masks when we went outside or learn online while stuck at home.
