Progress monitoring is being changed to a uniform system throughout the school district. Students were benchmarked using Renaissance Star at the beginning of the year to determine their instructional levels and their progress will continue to be monitored using this program on a regular basis throughout the year. This program will identify the student’s strengths and weaknesses to provide an instructional plan for the student.

What happens if a student with an IEP doesn't have four consecutive data points above the goal? Could 3/4 or 4/5 be used to make the goal more attainable?
The IEP goals should state that the student will demonstrate growth on 3 out of 4 probes.

What would you use for short-term objectives? Less weeks? Instead of multiplying by 36 weeks, multiply by 18?
Short term objectives would not use a growth rate.... objective would be set to 80% on 4 consecutive trials.
