Minh-Task 2

Many people think doctors are more important than inventors. I agree with this idea to some extent because both jobs help people, but doctors are more important in daily life.

Doctors help sick people. When we are ill or have an accident, we go to hospital and doctors help us feel better. They save lives every day. For example, during COVID-19, doctors worked hard to take care of many patients. Without doctors, many people would die.

However, inventors also help society. They make new things like computers, phones, or machines in hospitals. These things make our lives easier. For example, inventors created X-ray machines, and doctors use them to find problems inside the body. So inventors also help doctors do their job better.

In my opinion, doctors are more important because they work with people directly. Inventors work with ideas and machines. Without doctors, people cannot stay healthy. But without inventors, doctors still can help people with simple tools.

In conclusion, both inventors and doctors are important, but I think doctors are more important because they save lives and take care of our health.

Cuong - Writing task 2

There has been a controversial belief that doctors are more crucial than inventors due to their direct impacts on people’ s well-being and society’s survival. From my point of view, I don’t totally agree with this statement as both medical professionals and inventors are equally important. This essay will provide reasons supporting my arguments.

On the one hand, doctors undoubtedly play an integral part in our society. They help us diagnose diseases, perform life-saving procedures, and provide medical care to the underprivileged ones. They are the ones who directly are in the front-line saving people from dying in the time of pandemics, crises or natural disasters. If we were without them, the world would turn into a deadly world with severe illnesses taking people’s lives. Looking back at the covid 19 pandemic, we always had a glance of doctors who risked their lives to save thousands of people. Given these contributions, we understand why doctors are always regarded as heroes in our society.

On the other hand, we should not underestimate the importance of inventors in society. Many tools and technologies that doctors use to save people’s lives, such as MRI scanners, stethoscopes, neurosurgeon robots are the result of ground-breaking inventions. Without the works of these dedicated inventors, doctors could not fully play their responsibilities in saving people’s lives. For instance, in 2019 when humanity had to face the coronavirus for the first time. If it were not for inventors who work days and nights to invent the vaccine, we would still see the death of people day by day. Seeing all these examples and reasons, we really appreciate the hard work of inventors in our human’s world.

Taking everything into account, while doctors act as the heroes to save thousands of people's lives each day, we should not undervalue the important work of inventors to make our life better.

Cuong - writing task 1

The given bar chart illustrates information about the general trade of hybrid vehicles around the world from 2006 to 2009. Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that Japan had the greatest sales gap while the United States was always in the top of the overall hybrid vehicles' purchase over the four-year period.

Having a more precise look, the number of hybrid cars sold in Japan had a significant increase, accounting for 50,000 in 2009 and rose up to nearly 7 times higher by the end of the period (350,000 sales). Likewise, the sales of other nations experienced a steady rise over the four-year period from 50,000 to 100,000. However, looking at a more fluctuating trend of the US, in 2009 the US was the leading role of purchasing hybrid cars (approximately 250,000), reaching its peak in 2007 (about 350,000), and falling slightly to 250,000 in 2009. Overall, the general purchase of vehicles using both electricity and fuel has risen over two times higher over a four-year period with a total of 740,000 in 2009.
