Should women who join the special forces have the same fitness standards as the males?

I this research task I will be researching into the differences of men and women both physically and mentally and using real case studies, articles and publications to decide on my overall opinion, I will factor in active personnel's opinions as they will have a weigh in. I have chosen to do this topic as recently it has come up in the news that women will soon be allowed to enter into the special forces, the same as their integration into frontline combative roles in the Army. This in my eyes is fine as women are just as capable of fighting as the men are. However, it also came up that said forces were planning on lowering their fitness standards for the women who joined these special forces. I am going to research into whether the forces should remain at the same fitness standards, or whether they should lower them for the women.
I will make sure to include evidence such as journals, books, websites and first hand accounts.

A survey of any form can have both its advantages and disadvantages. an advantage of having a survey is to collect both quantitative and qualitative data. It can also provide an easy to use collection system with a base of questions with the added bonus of the ability to make the survey anonymous to provide a relief to people that what they are answering isn't going to be taken back up with them. It provides an extra layer of authenticity to the data collected as they may be more inclined to post what they actually believe.
My sample for the questionnaire will be my college class of 20 students, this consists of 12 males and 8 females. from this sample the group has an age range of 17-22 and all of the group are members of the public services course.
Once my survey has concluded I will need to factor in ethics, validity and reliability
