When we use videos to teach adults we must find a way to motivate the student, that the video arouses interest in him, then we can organize groups of no more than five students to comment on the video, where questions are asked and answered and then we can Focus on the topic of class; That is, Present Simple. Particularly this practice has given me positive results, because the student is participative, interacts with classmates and also practices English which is another class objective 

Use the simple present to express the idea that an action is repeated or usual. The action can be a habit, a hobby, a daily event, a schedule event, or something that often happens. It can also be something a person often forgets or usually does not do.

Examples:1. Today is May 5th 2017

2. When the Mexican celebrate the Battle of Puebla victory over the French.

3. In the US this holiday is very popular

In this example, the situation expressed in the Simple present tense is a real action to motivate the students. We are going to ask the students questions based on May 5, 2017
