I asked ai imagining for this photo and what it basically means is that in 1954 a operation was started and finished by starting a coupe which successfully overthrew the gov of president jacobo arbenz. he was elected in 1950 and had installed a castillo armas, which was a first inline right wing dictator in place for the taking. this was important because the CIA feared that his influence would threaten the interests in american owned businesses and ideas and also to stop spread of communists.
