Conrad McGuire spent three decades as a software developer before retiring, during which time he specialized in Oracle and Unix systems. Throughout this time, he served with several organizations, including the Pittsburgh-based Highmark, where he maintained website software. Conrad McGuire also spent four years with Randstad, where he worked on information systems for steel firms across the city.

At Randstad, Mr. McGuire primarily managed Oracle systems and was responsible for maintenance, development, and problem-solving. For much of his career, Conrad McGuire worked in healthcare organizations, including eight years with the West Penn Allegheny Health System. Serving as an Oracle database analyst and developer, as well as Unix administrator, he oversaw the development of a productivity system that came in ahead of time and under budget.

A University of Pittsburgh graduate, Mr. McGuire earned his master’s degree in information science in 1988. Since retiring from software development, he enjoys traveling to historic sites across the country, alongside taking part in church events.
