However, it does seem as if she likes him at the end.

2)The climax is where he has French class with Teresa, He thinks that he is going to make a fool of himself, but eventually, when he ends up making fake French sounds, Teresa thinks that he knows French and asks him to turtle her. 

3) In the closing action, we learn that Teresa thinks that he knows French, but he does get her by lying.
