The first tale is about a prince killing his lover and blaming it on the evil queen. This connects because Conor is blaming his mom and how the treatments aren't working. The 2nd tale is how the Parson was only nice to the Apothecary when he needed something. This shows how people are nice to Conor just because they feel pitty for him. The 3rd tale was about a man who was invisible and was unseen by everyone. In the story, Conor is not seen by his teachers nor his classmates. He doesn't like it and the monster tells him to make people see him. This connects to the 3rd tale because the invisible man makes others see him as for he hates it. The movie did not meet my expectations. In the book the author exaggerated the mom to being really sick, but in the movie the mom did not seem very ill she was up-going and good spirited. She was with Conor and watched movies with him. Also, the movie showed us right away what the nightmare was, unlike the book the author waited till end. I would revise the monster because he is this character who is suppose to scare Conor, but he doesn't. Conor is more superior then him and is never afraid. The monster was big and could probably scare Conor but he didn't so he's not much of a scary monster. I would make the monster more scary and have Conor be more afraid of the monster instead of feeling stronger. If you changed this Conor might not be so impulsive because he wouldn't want to stand up or fight back to the monster.
