         <title>The ecosystem of Alibaba linked buyers and sellers of goods. As technology advanced, more business functions moved online—including established ones, such as advertising, marketing, logistics, and finance, and emerging ones, such as affiliate marketing, product recommenders, and social media influencers. And as we expanded our ecosystem to accommodate these innovations, we helped create new types of online businesses, completely reinventing China’s retail sector along the way.Also, Alibaba today is not just an online commerce company. It is what you get if you take all functions associated with retail and coordinate them online into a sprawling, data-driven network of sellers, marketers, service providers, logistics companies, and manufacturers. In other words, Alibaba does what Amazon, eBay, PayPal, Google, FedEx, wholesalers, and a good portion of manufacturers do in the United States, with a healthy helping of financial services for garnish.  </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Alibaba captured the Business to Business market and is currently the leader. It operates on a number of eCommerce sites aimed at different types of sellers. However, Amazon focuses more on the Business to Consumer market. A major portion of Amazon’s revenue comes from electronic products and merchandise and digital media content.</div><div>Alibaba isn’t involved in direct sales and does not own any warehouses like Amazon. They simply help small businesses and branded manufacturers reach consumers. Amazon operates on a managed online platform that looks similar to a traditional store but stays online. It exercises control over customer experience.</div><div>Alibaba looks profitable, but the company is facing strong barriers in finding new customers and adapting to new economies. Amazon has already recognized the fact that to compete with Alibaba in China, they need to invest a huge amount of money and has pivoted away from China to focus on other prominent regions.<br>Alibaba shares have gained 63.97% in the past twelve months and 146.15% over the last two years, while Amazon’s shares have gained 67.76% and 121.44% over the same period.</div><div>Collective entrepreneurship helps Alibaba become rich by turning hundreds or even millions of people into entrepreneurs, lifting them out from poverty, and making some of them rich, too.This model works particularly well in countries like China, which is by far the largest internet market in the world — twice the size of the U.S. market.<br><br></div><div>While Amazon is much more innovative, Alibaba has huge growth potential in their own home turf, but its strategy can be easily copied by any other budding company.
