We have used yellow because it symbolises happiness, energy, joy and intelligence. Red was used because it represents strength, determination, passion and love, they both mix well together to represents our Whanau. The two colours we have used compliments the visual view and tells everything about our Whanau. The yellow resembles the happiness and the red resembles love, which our Whanau shows the best and is also our Whanau's main colour. The two colours represents our Whanau greatly since we are confident, loyal, and determined students. The colours combination was a great way to represent us as a Whanau and had a great visual view that has meaning behind it.

The slogan has been said by Sir Edmund Hillary, he said this after he conquered Mount Everest. He set himself a challenge, which was to reach the summit of the Mount Everest, the same way our Whanau sets a goal. The text font we used was Comic Sans, a normal font that goes well with the logo, and makes it simpler and readable. The slogan will influence many people to set themselves a goal and try their hardest to achieve it.The slogan that we used added more meaning into the image since there is a mountain in our logo

The reason why we chose the mountains as our dominate image is because it represents our whanau.
We put 2 mountains overlaying each other to make a smaller 1 in the middle that is a way that we use negative space. The mountains represent constancy, firmness which relates closely to our whanau.
This is how we use our dominate image/negative space.

This value is an ideal focus for the Mountains Brand identity because Mountains always recover from our loss and they try harder next time. Our Market Research showed that Resilience is the best word that our Whanau classifies themselves as. Resilience is truely one of our Mountains identity.
