She did not go to college right away and took secretarial courses. She was able to get a job as a secretary as both parents worked in factories and they did not have college degrees; She did not go to college due to money but at 48 she went to college for nursing and was a registered nurse!

Due to that, she was very nervous about situations when she got older and did not know how to do things since her parents did not teach her

-People are not as honorable as they once were. Cheating, stealing, and lying are not unusual as they were at least in her eyes.

-Manners have gone out the window

-She moved to Tennessee and that is when she noticed that the natives there are very courteous and loved to talk to people which she loved
