During this project, i started to gather research like looking through artist's which link to my theme such as Ito Toyo and Lynette Jackson with responses to the artist as they show an understanding. I enjoyed researching on Ito Toyo and Lynette as they both used their own media with linking it to architecture as it has inspired me to develop my ideas with their techniques. I didn't like how the contrast for Lynette's pieces were as in my response i changed it which looked more personal. With also going to the V&A museum and the Serpentine to gather images of the art pieces displayed and gathering which link towards our theme. As i gathered Architecture models and materials used to create a small model or an actual building. On week 3 i will begin to continue with gathering primary research as also going to the Barbican Museum.

Throughout this week I continued to gather more primary research such as the Barbican which we visited. While also exploring Alice Neel's exhibition as it was showcasing majority of her work with videos to describe the events she saw through creating art pieces. I enjoyed exploring around Alice Neel's exhibition in which they expressed it through displays as you follow through. As also with the Barbican too. This was very successful as towards taking images of the building for primary images with displaying different perspectives as these can be used for observational drawings with more development ideas. What i didn't like about the Barbican is that, you weren't as free in taking different perspectives which there were multiple restrictions in taking. My next step for week 4 is to develop my ideas through inspiration on artists i've researched and continuing to develop my ideas throughout.

I started to experiment by creating my own designs for structures with inspiration with artists I've researched and discovered. I liked this as it was a great start with continuing to create my own ideas with providing deconstructivism and including a modern style as well. It will help to continue gathering my own sketches with developing them further with using other medias and combining multiple designs together such as ink drawing, mark making, oil pastels. This was successful as starting to develop more art pieces with using medias as to develop more through next week. I didn't dislike anything, as this was a good direction towards combining multiple media pieces together in my response and observational drawings too. The next step I would like to do is to research Frank Gehry as he is another artist who uses decontructivism as using exaggerated form in his structures.

During this week I've continued with research as I'm interested in Frank Gehry as he is also an artist who has designed these structures with forms that are exaggerated which links towards Modern Deconstructivism. As providing sketches which are loose and simple to design with a unique style. Also creating a response with his technique as drawing my own designs with developing, as using different medias on top. I've also began to research office, workspaces which will my design will be focused on in city areas which anyone is able to access them for example, meetings, work environments. This was successful as I'm beginning to narrow down and focus on the main factors to start creating my own pieces with the use of 3D by creating small maquettes which the 2D drawings I've designed through inspiration.

Throughout this week, I began to develop ideas with the artist response which I've created to show my understanding. This started to continue developing through the use of media as combining others together such as using black paper and sketching with a white pen on top. I also created 3D models out of maquette's from the sketches with the use of cardboard, I made to demonstrate how it would look like 3 dimensional. As I liked these, they were successful as a start towards experimenting with 3D models and a variety of materials to test out as well.

I continued to create small maquettes with models that i've sketched out with experimenting the forms with carboard, seeing if they will become successful or unsuccessful. This will help to continue creating new designs and experimentations throughout the project with focusing on how it could be a final piece design. As this will help with problem solving and overcoming issues that won't work such as a unique detail that can't be formed with a certain material and using another one which works well to create the detail. This is successful as it allows me to experiment with new materials and forms that i've personally made which can be recorded in my sketchbook, which overall links to my theme with using that specialism. As documenting it through my research with experimentations to see what other materials i can continue to experiment with. Now starting to research about what target audiences will be for my project as how this will affect them.

On this week, I started to develop in 3D experiments with the use of paper to create, into forms as to develop new ideas. Which is helpful to gain new ways like designing shapes as making them exaggerated and modern. This will allow me to combine two forms together as creating into one. By developing further, as I can expand out with new models. I enjoyed making these out of paper as this will guide me to thinking of what my final outcome may look like in the end of the project. What I don't like about using paper is that you can't create solid forms as you would only use it for manipulating them with bending into curves and overlapping pieces as well.

Throughout this week I began to develop my 3D experimentations by using paper as you can create unique forms and exaggerated shapes too. With also researching on an author who specialises with paper. I enjoyed creating these technical forms as they provided more ideas towards thinking about my final design. A strength is with using paper, as it has helped me develop further within the process as linking it to my theme for creating a workspace structure. What I don't like about experimenting with paper, is it isn't as firm compared to using cardboard. Which mainly gets ruined when applying pressure on when experimenting. The next step i'll be taking on is to experiment with styrofoam boards as i'm thinking about using this material for creating my structure for the final project. This is successful, as creating multiple outcomes for ideas on to the final design.

I started to experiment with foam board as i'll be planning to use this material for creating my final outcome structure. This will be great as towards testing with getting familiar with using the foam board as i haven't created anything before with it. Which will be good experience before starting the final outcome. I enjoyed creating making experiments with foam board, as i can test out many techniques to use which will help towards my final design.

Within this week, i started to begin with planning out my final outcome as well with creating 4 unique ideas towards creating my own office structure. I liked how I've used images to explain how I've gathered my ideas from with also showing my own ideas. As well as with the materials i'll be using to create it which is foam board. I enjoy using this material as it's very durable and a cleaner finish compared to using cardboard or paper for the building. This helps to understand why i've gathered these ideas as showing the whole build up towards this final piece. From now and forward i'll begin to create my building with also taking images of the process through making it.

I've continued to create my final piece as well as refining some pieces of work in my sketch book too. As towards making sure majority of the work is completed before hand. First, I began to draw out the shapes as these pieces will be fitted together with experimenting with cardboard. Using this will help to save the limited amount of foam boards being used as this is successful towards choosing the right size of the structure. I enjoyed creating this as it showed different problem solving methods as for example a certain piece was too small i would needed to change the size. This linked all towards my theme as it used inspiration from multiple artists as well as my own ideas for the design.
