<title>Technology has many benefits to the world of literacy. For example, students are able to download books and listen to the them while following along with the words on the screen. In addition, they can connect with their peers through shared documents or texts. Technology can provide a quick video that relates directly to what they were just reading. They can also collaborate with their peers through written discussions.</title>

<title>The use of Nearpod allows students to work at their own pace (and frees me up so I can confer or take running records with students. I do not have to worry about students being engaged or on task, because they are working through the lesson themselves. </title>

<title>Using tech for reading can be very motivating for students and can really differentiate learning at any level. It can also benefit kids when taking the standardized test since they are on the computers. I do think that when using tech it has to be very focused on the skills and task. </title>

<title>Technology can be useful in giving students options in which to practice the skills and strategies they are learning in their reading intervention. It can give them access to engaging apps, opportunities to record their reading and writing, and opportunities to access books both at their level and to listen to for enjoyment. However, technology cannot really replace the direct instruction that students deserve and the human connection the students receive when working with their interventionist. </title>
