1. Recycling Relay Race

• Objective: Teach kids about sorting recyclables.

• How to play: Set up bins for different types of recyclables (plastic, paper, glass, etc.). Kids race to bring items (you can use clean, safe materials like paper or plastic bottles) to the correct bin. Add a twist by making it a timed race or having them sort different items into the bins as quickly as possible.

What to bring:

20-25 paper ball

20-25 bottle caps

20-25 cardboard

20-25 fabric/clothes

Items can be found in school

Show them pictures of trash and things they can recycle and we ask if they can be recycled

If it’s recyclable jump sideways to the tick, if it isn’t then jump sideways to the cross

Logs:

• cardboard sheets with pictures of trash or recyclable items pasted on the cardboard

• Red duct tape and green duct tape

Manpower: 1 person holding the picture, two people supervising the children. One person among the two people can also tell the instructions

Children will hold the rod with a string attached to it and hold a plate in the other. There will be recyclable and non recycleable photos on the floor with a magnet hidden behind. Children must use the “fishing rod” to attract the recycleable photos onto the plate

2 rods

2 2m strings / 1 ball of yarn

30 magnets

Lamination device and printer
