Explain the significance of the conversion of Saul of Tarsus?

The conversion was significant because if Saul didn’t change into Paul the bible wouldn’t be the same. Jesus called for the conversion when he announced “the kingdom of god is at hand. Repent and believe in the gospel!” (Mark 1:15). Saul was against Christians and he had devoted his life to getting rid of Jesus followers this included killing. One day Saul was struck by a blinding light, It was a vision of Jesus. Jesus sent a messenger to pray for saul so he could see again and from then on Saul changed his name to Paul and became Jesus’s messenger and preached to many cities and towns.

A challenge for Paul was revealed in his letters. The point of this epistle was to address the issue about Gentiles, Christianity and the Jewish laws. This issue was because a group of jewish christians went to Galatia and preached that to be saved they needed to follow the Jewish law. The Galatians accepted the preaching, so Paul wrote a letter arguing this and the point of view of the Galatians and how they need to follow the laws of faith. The Jewish Christians had challenged his honour and also the fact that a circumcision was not required of Gentile converts. Paul wrote a letter defending himself from these statements.

In the Philippians passage the main messages were being united with christ. Another message was for us to be humble and value others over yourself. Paul also wants us to let christ take hold of us and to present our prayers through prayer to him and be thankful this is so God's peace will forever be in our heart and mind. He want us to put what he has taught us into practice, and then God’s peace will be with us. I believe these messages should be used in people today as many people aren’t humble and put themselves over others. Also a lot of people aren’t thankful so if they put these qualities into practice it would make the world better, happier and friendlier.
