I might not be aligned with his political outlook, but I have the utmost respect for his entrepreneurial spirit and success in negotiation. His efforts to promote innovation and advancement when Israel was in its infancy have come to fruition and led us to this day and age.
Peres was recognized for his diplomatic achievements and is known for his role in building Israel’s military prowess, its air force and the country’s first nuclear facilities.

His main characteristics were resilience, knowledge, people-skills, motivational approach and leading by example. 
This makes in my opinion a great leader from whom we can learn a lot.
