On Saturday afternoon, my partner and I went to Simón Bolívar waterfront. We walked for half an hour and finally found a tourist to interview. At the beginning, it was hard because some didn’t want to appear in the video but then we met Cristine. She was from France but she could speak English. She was with some friends knowing our country. She was a dancer and wanted to go to Riobamba. She smiled and laughed in the video and after it. She was very kind and easygoing. At first, I felt nervous to talk with a foreigner but at the end I felt confident about my English skills. On Saturday morning, my classmate and I prepared some questions by WhatsApp, we wrote 10 questions in Present Simple and 5 in Past Simple, and after lunch we went to the downtown.

My experience
On Monday, July 24, 2018 I walked to the bus stop to go to the center in search of a foreign person. When I was on the boardwalk, I tried to communicate with a woman, but a problem arose, she received a call and I could not ask- I was disappointed. Then, I remembered a company and was looking for the right person, I was nervous about talking to an unknown person. When I arrived at the place, I presented my ID to enter, I knocked on the door, they let me in, I asked the secretariat if their boss was there, she said and let me through. I greeted the boss and managed to start a conversation, I had some errors in the pronunciation and in two questions. The video did not go well, but, Mr. Franklin Rubianes, whom I interviewed; five years ago he came to the country with his family because his wife was born in Quito and wanted to return to Ecuador to be close to his family. He was very kind and helped me improve the questions and pronunciation. The secretariat filmed the video with his phone, when she finished filming; they both took me to a restaurant and we ate. Finally, we say goodbye, thanked them for their collaboration with my duty and I retired. I met the person on the recommendation of my mother; she is a housewife. The experience was a great help to take into consideration, how much I should improve my English. I decided to go to courses and watch videos on YouTube to learn the language –if I can approve.
I prepared same question in present simple and in past simple;
What is your name?
Where are you from?
What do you do for live?
How old are you?
Do you like to do excessive?
Did you run yesterday?
Were you a football player in your school?
Did you study in a public or private school?
What did you do in you last holidays?

My experience of today was really interesting and exiting 'cause i had to get out of my confort zone and talk to people that i didn't know wich i wouldn't normaly do and also foreing ones in a language that i still need to learn a lot, even though my brother and his friends helped me. In general it was a really good and fulfilling experience. at first it was hard to fing people thet speak english and looked friendly enough to ask for being interviewed but at the end we found these really cool and nice girls who agreed to be recorded and interviewed by me even though my english is not good at all and i was very nevous and they were really patient about it. It was nice to get to know a little bit about their really interesting live, we were amazed by the contries that these girls have been in and how is the place thet they come from wich as they said was very small compared to guayaquil. and well as i said it was a very nice and fun experience i would totally like to do something like this again in the future.

-Where are you from?
-Why did you choose to visit Ecuador?
-What are your thoughts on Guayaquil?
-What's your favorite ecuadorian food?
-How many contries did you visit before Guayaquil?
-What difereces did you find between guayaquil and the city that you come from?
-What's your favorite place in guayaquil?

After the English class on wednesday, Anthony and I went out to perform the task of interviewing a foreigner, we decided to do it in the Malecon 2000. Then
We almost walked the whole gang, the gringos spent in groups and it was difficult to inconvenience them because they took pictures, talked and had fun. Time passed and passed and we did not get that interview, so we decided to sit down and wait for a foreigner to pass by alone.
There was a time when two foreign girls passed by and we approached them to ask them to please grant us the interview but they ignored us completely, then we felt tired and we went to drink some sodas.
The next day we decided to go out and finish with our goal and we went to the park of the iguanas and Oh surprise! finally a foreigner accepted the interview but at the moment of telling him that we should record it on video he left!
We went back to Malecon 2000 again and said "luck or guts" and we finally finally saw a foreigner alone, we decided to ask him to please give us an interview for an English assignment and he gladly accepted it regardless of whether we recorded it on video . We finished the interview and very kind said goodbye and left.

On wednesday after English class, we went to the Simon Bolivar waterfront. We walked a lot around it, looking for tourists. The place was full of people because that day the city was in its birthday. There were many local people and the few foreigners didn´t want to speak with anyone.
We finally met two nice guys from France, they spoke english. They didn´t speak spanish, so it was hard to explain what we were doing. But we made it! They spoke with us and told us it was their first day in Guayaquil.
Both of them were engineers, but we forgot to ask what kind of engineers they were. We were really scared, and we felt tired because we thought we weren´t going to talk with foreigners. We walked around two hours.
We thought they didn´t want to talk because there were a lot of people who asked them for money.
But, these two were different. Actually, after the interview, we continued talking about culture, Guayaquil's places to visit, bars and books.
