I think this size is just too small to read conveniently. (Maybe it would be better for kids)

I did as much as I could by interspersing large and small scenes.

I then imported these colourways into Photoshop before working on the finished drawing, and the colour scheme of the image will continue to be modified.

Perhaps I could feature peckham carboot in a profile book format, or feature the founder of peckham carboot.

I thought I might as well draw the map again in my own way. I've drawn maps in etching form before, but it doesn't fulfil the function of conveying accurate geographical information. If you need the map to be useful it should be accompanied by road names and surrounding buildings.

The title on the left has a problem with being cut.

A font that is on the smaller side will blend more easily with the image. I will be using smaller fonts wherever possible while keeping readability in mind.

The right amount of white space will make the image more airy.

I really like the combination of flat and hand-drawn in this collage, and I'd like to try some collage when I do the manual.

Maybe using a pencil would have been better.

This type of binding is better suited for brochures that are given out free to others than other special bindings.

Monochrome inserts are interspersed with coloured inserts, and blocks of colour can be used to form patterns directly.

This three-dimensional viewmaking works well and is easier to implement.

If I draw second-hand objects that carboot sees in childish strokes on a small piece of paper, and then stick the small piece of paper to the wall with a similar layout, it should work well too.

Use a green packaging bag to cover the red brochure. The contrasting color design is very impactful and eye-catching. The inner pages also use black, red, and green as the main colors, which is highly unified overall.

One of my favourites is the manual designed by Earl Gee and Fani Chung for DCM-Doll Capital Management. This manual has a wirebound design with a translucent acid paper cover. The red thread has a strong echo of the title.

Many of her exhibitions are also based on fabric. Her three-dimensional/semi-dimensional installations made of cloth and cotton are fixed on the wall, which have a three-dimensional effect compared to traditional illustrations and are more interactive with the viewers.

I have done some sewing before and I think this is a direction I could try.

where individuals sell household and garden items. They are a common occurrence in the United Kingdom and are often simply called 'car boots.'

The phrase "car boot sale" describes the practice of selling items from the trunk of a car. The majority of the items being sold are previously owned personal possessions. Car boot sales serve as a method to gather a large crowd in one location to recycle valuable yet unwanted household items that might otherwise have ended up in the trash.

We operate come rain or shine every other week between the hours of 10.00am - 2pm​ @ Harris Academy Peckham, SE15 5DZ.

The majority of the sellers indicated that they had been introduced to car boot sales through family and friends.

Nearly all of them expressed their reluctance to deal with the hassle of photographing and uploading items onto online second-hand platforms.

They preferred the simplicity and convenience of parting with their unwanted items in person.

Many sellers also mentioned their fondness for the lively atmosphere of car boot sales and the joy of engaging in face-to-face interactions.

Virtually all of the sellers expressed satisfaction with their sales results and were delighted that their unwanted possessions had found new owners.

When you're pushing sixty, like me, your place tends to get cluttered with all sorts of junk. My house was overflowing with the leftover stock from my sister's bankrupt jewelry store.

To free up some space, I had to deal with all of it...

And making some cash out of it was a real hoot!

Next month, I'm taking my mom on a vacation and the money I made today will be a nice little cushion for that.

1. Book pitch early

   The new location willl be released on the website at 12:00 noon on the Monday following the week the carboot is held.

2. Be on time if you don't have a car

   The good seats are always taken first.

3. Check the weather forecase in advance

   Prepare umberllas and plastic sheet if it rains.

4. Bring enough change

   The vast majority of carboot businesses are cash transactions.

5. Price everything

   As most buyers will haggle, you need to take into account the bargains.

6. Keep your stall tidy

   Put out as many thing as possible rather than stacking them together.

7. Pull out the charm

   People may be drawn to your pitch if you are smiling and welcoming. Show an interest in the customer as it could have an impact on sales.

2. Never forget bargain

   You can always negotiate at the car boot sale, and the amount you can haggle depends on the total price.

3. Doublr-check before you pay

   Since it is a second-hand market, there are no warranties or return policies for products sold at car boot sales.

This includes written information, audio information, and photographs.

People gave our stall high marks and there was a permanent gathering of people flicking through the books in front of our stall. We were also lucky enough to meet a member of staff from the british library and present him with our portfolio.

There are a few things I personally lacked about the book fair.

1. the preparation time was too short. As a member of the display team, I should have pushed everyone to finalise the size of the book in time, instead of delaying it again and again. Next time, we should make sure that the bookshelves are ready as soon as possible, so that the tables will not be too small.

2. Not knowing everyone's work in advance. When we were setting up the stand, we were often asked for some information about the contents of the books, but no one knew how to answer (everyone only knew their own works.) .

3. not enough online promotion. We only publicised this book fair on ins and only four days in advance. The next book fair can try to promote on multiple platforms and should lengthen the advance time.

Price tags were uniformly placed on the samples and pricing was reconfirmed.

It was only on the 24th of October that I gathered the dimensions of everyone's books. After measuring, the table at the book fair barely fit. For a better display, I still found some pictures of the relevant display shelves and sent them to Rory for enquiry.

Rory was kind enough to help me out and provided us with ready-made shelves as well as a tutorial on how to make shelves out of cardboard. But in the end, we gave up on the idea of using shelves because we found that shelves can be completely replaced by mobile phone holders. (Almost every one of us has a phone holder!)

I like this magazine very much. It's very childlike and the bright and vibrant colours chosen for all the images make the overall look lively and suitable for children.

It could be like this map drawn by Andrés Lozano, where you don't have to follow the principles of perspective and flatten the whole scene.

I experimented with this on cardstock, but since this is more delicate work and would be very slow and prone to failure if hand-carved, I gave up on the idea after trying it.

I think it should be possible to do it with laser cut, but since bookfair was pressed for time, I didn't try it again.

The orange colour of the cover also still needs to be considered, it feels a bit too harsh.

The main body of the book is for kids to read while the tickets and map are for adults. The map can be structured in the same way as the previous mock-up or in a normal structure.

The first design is a great read for families with children, and it takes both children and adults into account. But it may be a bit childish for adults.
