·  “Do not flip over the worksheet EX2 until I say you can do so.”

·  Once teacher gives the go-ahead to flip EX2 over, the class is given 15 seconds to skim through their paragraphs.

·  After the time has elapsed, students are to turn their worksheets back-faced-down. The group leaders and timekeepers are to ensure of this otherwise demerit points will be issued to the group.

·  Discuss in your groups for 1 minute and decide what you feel is the ‘topic sentence(s)’ and gist of the paragraphs.

·  Post your answers up on Padlet for skim, one post per group.

·  Next, the teacher will allow students up to 45 seconds to scan the passage and repeating the same procedure as for skim.

·  Groups will have 2 minutes this round to discuss and post their answers up on Padlet for scan, one post per group.

· Each of you have been given the Worksheet EX1 and as I were to play you this short 2-minute video (Appendix A), think about what you already ‘Know’ of the theme and ‘What-you-want’ to know more about it.

· To facilitate matters, I will play the video twice.

· The first round, fill up the corresponding ‘K’ column on worksheet EX1 with words, terms and phrases you feel are associated with the theme.

· Thereafter when the video is played again, fill up the column ‘W’ with any questions and/or statements about the theme and video.

· To help you along the way, there are already some guiding points printed onto your worksheet EX1.

· Once the video playback has ended, you will be tasked to discuss your answers as a group for 4 minutes and post the best 3 answers for each group’s ‘K’ and ‘W’ on Padlet (Appendix A).
