Prior to a power supply working, bare printed circuit boards, PCBs, are placed on an automated line to be soldered and screen printed with paste. The PCBs then travel to a heat chamber from which the paste is melted into liquid solder, which hardens into strong joints. The power supply units then travel towards a manual assembly line to fit and glue down internal components. From a working standpoint, power supplies convert alternating current (AC) from the wall outlet into direct current (DC), which is then used to power various electronic devices, such as a computer. To properly draw voltage from the power supply, cables are used to connect the PSU with other computer parts.
