In this module we have learned much more than just tools and techniques related to internet and he digital world. We were able to go beyond in the discussion and talk about how the whole education systems should adapt to better accomplish the future goals and needs of EFL. Personally, the discussions concerning all types of literacy were the greatest contribution to my view of the teaching process. The idea that we should first comprehend how the digital transformations have changed not only the way we teach but also the way that language works was a game-changer.

The tools presented were very useful and created. I've been teaching for 15 years and I did not know many of the tools brought for us. Understanding how technology is also another "language" we should consider on our future lesson plannings has definitely changed the way my classes will be thought henceforth. I have already put into practice some of the ideas with my private students and I am profiting of this online laboratory to improve my skills as a teacher of the future.

This video was a huge "wake up call" for me.
In our pursuit of becoming the best teacher we could be, we are often stuck on our daily activities, homework correction, classes preparation etc, which sometimes can work as a detractor of our roles as students ourselves.

Watching this content was a breathe of fresh air into the routine and a great way to raise the bar of my classes into including a ,ore cultural approach to the language than I had ever done before.

This image caught my attention.
In the recent years we teachers have had to become "Inspector Gadgets" of the learning process, specially when online teaching. We are required to master the language, the learning process, the online video platform, to retain the attention of students, to have multiple windows open at the same time, to bring relevant and interesting topics for discussion and, sometimes, to educate good manners as well.
However, it also made me think that, even being required to accomplish so many tasks, our core remains always the same: bring culture and language to our students through our knowledge and experience. That will always be the big picture.

I have already subscribed for additional online courses from Coursera, Udemy, related to the use of technologies for teaching. I am currently searching also for more theoretical courses in that matter. Technology does not stop, nor should we teachers. If we don't keep up with then, we'll be obsolete in a matter of months. In addition to that, I also intend to better develop my skills related to time management and class management in the online environment. Multitasking has brought a challenge for us all and we must adapt to it.

I cared for this module dearly, however, I assume that, for my personal standards, I could have gone a bit further.

Due to personal issues I was not able to engage in the live classes, nor to fulfill the tasks in the provided regular schedule. However, I took a great deal of interest and time once it had all passed.

For that reason, I would grant myself a grade 8, considering that I did everything I could at the time to complete the tasks, and to watch the recorded classes. I also took my time to read the articles and papers and to integrate some of the techniques into the completion of my TCC (an online course exploring cultural aspects of different accents of English around the world).
