Once upon a time, in the heart of the jungle, a little tiger named Tiggy was about to go to school for the very first time. He was both excited and nervous.

Past Simple:

When Tiggy got home after school, he ran to his mother and said, "Mom! I had such a fun day at school!"
Tiggy’s mom smiled and asked, "What did you do today?"
Tiggy replied, "I met new friends and we played all morning."

Present Perfect:

-Tiggy’s mom then asked, "Have you learned anything new today?"
-Tiggy thought for a moment and said, "Yes, I have learned how to climb trees faster! My teacher taught us some new techniques."
-"And I have also found out that there are so many animals in the jungle I didn’t know about!" said Tiggy proudly.

Past Perfect:

Before school started, Tiggy had been feeling very anxious. He remembered how he had asked his mom the night before, "Will the other animals be like me?"
-His mom reassured him, "By the time you finish your first day, you will have made lots of new friends."
And indeed, by the time he came home, he had already made many friends, just as his mom had predicted.

Past Perfect Continuous:

-Tiggy explained to his mom, "During recess, we had been playing hide and seek for a long time before the bell rang."
He added, "I had been trying to hide behind a big tree, but my tail was sticking out, so they found me!"

Closing:

-That night, Tiggy snuggled up next to his mom and whispered, "I can't wait to go back to school tomorrow, Mom."
-His mother kissed his forehead and said, "I'm so proud of you, Tiggy. You see, trying new things can be scary, but it’s how we grow."

Moral:

And so, little Tiggy learned an important lesson:
It’s okay to be nervous about something new, but when we face our fears, we often find fun and wonderful experiences waiting for us.

Once upon a time, a boy named Tim was a simple farmer who lived in the quiet town of Huancavelica.

Every morning, he got up early to tend his small farm.

He had worked the land since he was a boy and knew every corner of the countryside like the back of his hand.

One morning, as Tim was picking apples, he heard a strange noise coming from the barn.

Tim had heard that noise before, but never paid much attention to it.

This time, however, it sounded different, as if something or someone had been moving around inside all night.

Intrigued, Tim left his basket and headed toward the barn.

When he opened the door, he was surprised to find a small rabbit, which had been hiding there.

The rabbit had entered the barn during the previous night's storm and had taken refuge among the hay bales.

Tim had never seen anything so curious in his life.

He had seen many bigger and faster fish than him, and had started to feel a bit discouraged.

One day, Finley met a wise old fish who told him: "Speed is not what makes you special, but your ability to adapt and learn." Finley had been thinking about those words ever since and had been practicing his skills.

He had been swimming with a whale for weeks and had been learning to communicate with her. He had been improving his speed and agility, and had been gaining confidence in himself.

Finally, Finley had participated in a fish race and had won! It had been a great success, and Finley had received praise from all the fish in the ocean.

Times used:

- Past Simple: "had been swimming", "met"

- Present Perfect: "had seen"

- Past Perfect: "had started to feel", "had been thinking"

- Past Perfect Continuous: "had been swimming", "had been practicing", "had been improving", "had been gaining"

The lost dog

Once upon a time there was a woman named Sarah who lost her dog, Max. She had accidentally left the door open while she was watering the garden and Max slipped out without her noticing. Sarah looked for him all over the house and neighborhood, but couldn't find him.

For several days, she had been searching tirelessly, calling her neighbors and visiting local shelters, hoping that someone had found Max. She felt desperate and missed him deeply.

One morning, Sarah received a call from a neighbor. They told him they had seen a dog that looked like Max wandering near the park. Without hesitation, she ran to the park, hoping it was her beloved Max.

When she arrived, Max was there, looking tired but still wagging his tail. Apparently he had been living near the park for days, and some kind children had been feeding him.

Sarah hugged Max tightly and tears of joy ran down her face. She promises herself never to leave the door open again and to always keep an eye on him.

Once upon a time, in ancient China, there was a brave princess named Mei. She had lived in the emperor’s palace for many years and had learned the ways of wisdom and courage. One day, a fearsome dragon appeared in the mountains near the kingdom, and it began to terrorize the villages. The villagers had asked for help, but no warrior had managed to defeat the beast.

The emperor, desperate, called upon his daughter and asked, “Will you help us, my daughter?” Mei, who had always wanted to prove her bravery, agreed.

By the time Princess Mei reached the dragon’s lair, the dragon had already burned many villages. She stood before the dragon and said, “Why are you causing so much destruction?”

The dragon had been sleeping for centuries, and had never intended to harm anyone. It explained, “I woke up from a long slumber and I have not found peace since.”

Princess Mei, who had always believed in kindness, spoke gently to the dragon. She offered it a home in the palace garden, where it could live in peace. The dragon, touched by her compassion, agreed. From that day on, the dragon has protected the kingdom, and no harm has come to its people.

Closing

The villagers have been grateful ever since. The princess and the dragon became great friends, and the dragon has lived happily in the palace garden for years. Mei had proved her bravery not by fighting, but by using wisdom and kindness.

Moral

True strength does not always lie in fighting but in understanding and compassion. Sometimes, the bravest thing you can do is to offer peace

Shelly and Finn’s Adventure

Once upon a time in a lively ocean, a turtle named Shelly and a dolphin named Finn had been best friends for years. One sunny day, Finn said, “I want to go on an adventure! We have explored our reef, but I’m ready for more!”

Shelly hesitated. “I’ve never been far from home,” she replied. But Finn’s excitement was contagious, and soon they decided to venture beyond their familiar waters.

They swam for days, passing schools of colorful fish. One afternoon, they discovered a deep, mysterious part of the ocean known as the Great Blue. “Let’s explore!” Finn shouted, leading the way.

As they dove deeper, they found an enchanting underwater cave filled with glowing jellyfish. Shelly had never seen anything so magical! But suddenly, a strong current pulled them inside, and they realized they were lost.

“Stay close!” Finn urged. “I have learned a trick to escape currents!” With his guidance, they swam in a coordinated pattern and finally broke free from the cave.

Gasping for air, they emerged into the sunlight. “We did it!” Shelly cheered. They had faced their fears and come out stronger.

From that day on, they continued to seek new adventures, knowing that together, they could conquer anything!
