Being that we are in the higher course, I expect to be quizzed over a lot of information and to be able to retain information throughout the course. With that being said, government information is not my cup of tea so i'm hoping this class will give me a lot more background knowledge of the history of our government and the current way that it is run.

I am not interested in the current presidential election. I do not know much about each candidate, but I know who my family is voting for and it won't necessarily affect me personally either way. I am waiting to find out what each candidate has to offer and what they plan to accomplish in our country. They tried to turn things around to untimely make it equal for women, and along this journey they created a friendship that will never be forgotten. In the beginning, everything was fine between these two. Once Mr. Smith decided he wanted to build a boys campsite, all heck broke lose. Mr. Paine found himself against this proposal, and Smith was determined to prove that. After many lies, Smith looked like an awful senator full of lies, after he ha spent almost a full day on the Senate floor trying to prove his point to the rest of the senators. Finally, Smith passed out because he had been fighting for so long, and Paine lost it and admitted to all of the lies he was trying to get everybody to believe. I believe this because he wanted to build a campsite for the boys, and usually democrats are the ones to be involved in programs and such. After fighting such a long battle, I don't think Mr. Smith would just give up on everything he has fought for. As Jefferson Smith was trying to pass a bill to make land for the young boys, Dick Durban proposed an amendment to "Improving Americas Schools Act" that was used to try to help teach young ones the dangers and consequences of tobacco. Just as I viewed Jefferson Smith as being in the Democratic party, Dick Durban has the second highest position in the Senate. These two were both persistent on what they believed was best for our country.
