I interpret this as Juliet not wanting to kiss romeo. In the text there is no point where she gives clear consent. Although the whole time romeo shows he wants to kiss her. He said "My lips two blushing pilgrims, ready stand to smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss". That line showed us that Romeo was in fact ready to kiss her, but Juliet never said anything back saying that she wanted to kiss him.

I believe that this passage meant that Juliet was taking control of the situation. She is treating him kind of like a pet bird. If he doesn't behave he can just pull him back in to line. I believe she said this while thinking out loud as a way to tell her parents that if they let her take him in she could be in control of him. This made a romantic scene really not that romantic.

The priest thinks that if Romeo and Juliet get's married it could stop violence between families. I believe that the priest is not to blame for the death, but he somewhat contributed to it as he encouraged the two to get married. In a way he is using Romeo and Juliet as tools to get what he wants, peace between families. The priest definitely seems to be the person who starts the whole marriage idea, although he had good intentions he still decided to marry them thinking they weren't in love. I believe he is apart of the death, but not the main person who caused it but he did start the whole thing.

I believe that the death of Romeo and Juliet is not only due to them, but some of the adults. For example father Laurence and the nanny are both very pro the marriage. I believe father Laurence wants them to be married to help bring the families together. So really, the two adults really did push them towards marriage.

Why do some people fail in life and others don't? GUIDING QUESTION

I believe that is has everything to do with the butterfly effect. Little changes. By the butterfly effect, I mean if someone does one little thing wrong or right, it affects the next and so on. For example, in Romeo and Juliet the mail didn't come because romeo was outside, and then the mail guy left, then his friend came and told him, then he killed himself once he saw Juliet dead. Who knows, maybe if the mail guy didn't stop for food he would have made it 5 minutes earlier, and romeo would have been inside and had got the mail in time so he knew the plan, so it would have worked out happily ever after for Romeo and Juliet.

I really enjoyed this activity because reading other peoples pallets and getting some feedback helped me see some new perspectives on the guiding question. After looking at my questions, I think that the butterfly effect is a good way of referring to problems in our life. It adds a new perspective to me that if romeo could have persevered when finding out that Juliet died, they could have ended up together. It was kind of like he had to show the universe that he could battle a big challenge to get the privilege to love Juliet, but he failed.

My first photo was a very broad photo of the staircase. You could see a little bit of everything but nothing was super clear. You could see the ocean, trees, garbage cans, stairs, quotes and a ton of little things. Through the photo we can't really understand. My second photo was a up close photo of the quote on the wall. Everything else was blurred, so the main focus was the quote. We could't see anything else but the quote in the second picture. Before I took the zoomed in photo I didn't really notice the quote. I was too distracted by the other things in the first one, but after zooming in to see the quote I could easily focus on it.
