Children need structure and desire to know that their educator can manage their classroom. As an educator, it is my responsibility to provide clear and consistent behavioural expectations. This will help children to know their expectations and do not have to worry if their behavioural acceptance is dependant on if I am in a good mood.
Secondly, I will provide a calm-down corner in the classroom. This is an independent area where the child can go to assist in their self-regulation. Stay positive and have a strong control on our emotions. Be respectful and engage them in different activities. Support and encourage them and stop praising. Teach them moral values and its importance. Identify child's interests and plan activities accordingly. Have a long good conversation with the children at least once in a week.
