It is a place where students feel safe and loved, and they know the adults in the building care about them. 

I chose to work at this school because when I walked in and met the people who worked there, it felt good in my gut.

I teach on the third floor of this school and there is barely any AC! I taught language arts and science while my co-teacher taught math and social studies. This is the largest class to go through the school in years with 32 students all together. We split the class so I had 16 students at a time. This group of kids taught me more about myself in this year then I have learned in my entire life. From August to May, I laughed, cried, and wanted to pull my hair out, more than I ever thought possible.
