There have never been so many opportunities to work or study in another European country . However , the lack of language skills is a burden for many people who could benefit from them.
- What is there EDL for?

The general objectives of the European Day of Languages are:

Highlighting the importance of language learning and diversify the range of languages learned in order to increase multilingualism and intercultural communication .

Promote the richness of linguistic and cultural diversity of Europe, we must preserve and enhance .

Promoting lifelong language learning both inside and outside school , either for the purpose of studies , exchanges, for professional reasons , mobility and leisure ..

The Italian has a fairly regular spelling, in which each letter has a fixed pronunciation, with predictable exceptions. Some pronunciation rules can, however, confuse the Spanish-speaking. For example, the c followed by eoi pronounced "ch", while in front of a, o and u is pronounced / k /. To keep the sound / k / before EOI will add an H: chiamo pronounced "Kiamo". For the sound "ch" in front of other vowels a i is added: ciao pronounced "bye".
