The 2nd amendment should not be banned. The right to bear arms are an essential human right, and banning guns would take away one's liberty. Guns are used as a tool for hunting, and more importantly, they are used for self-defense. People must have the right to defend themselves when their words cannot. People should and must have to right to defend themselves from people who try to harm them, kill them, exploit them, etc. Without having this defense mechanism, people who are found in dangerous situations may not have the change to protect themselves, such as rape cases; telling someone to stop will not make them stop. The same goes for armed robbers who break into houses, one will need to protect themselves as well as their families, which the right to bear arms provides. As a result this country has suffered countless mass shootings, school shootings and awful gun death numbers. Compared to other countries the statistics from America are awful. How are these teens getting guns? From their homes, the guns their parents got to "protect" their family caused the tragic loss of their child.
