I've learned that creativity is something that should be expressed and valued. Children should be given the opportunities to express themselves and their knowledge through ways they find engaging. I've also learned that students are less creative when its about grades.

Creativity is not just about how artistic and abstract a person may think, but also about what they have learned and how they can transform that information.

How can you foster creativity in the classroom, while trying to stay on time with the curriculum?

Allowing students to use their creativity in projects enables them to express how they think and what they know in a different/unique way. This can be done through writing stories, art projects, and almost any subject, giving them freedom.

How do you critique a students' assignment when creativity is the main portion of the mark?
