An event to promote the platform to old and new registers, The main objective is to engange teachers in the wonderfull european adventure of the programme thought the explanation of basic, and easy, aspects of the new plataform as well as some examples of sucess stories in order to inspire them, too.

During the session, Ii will cover the following points:

1. Basic aspects:.
- Registration on the platform.
- The personal area, edit the profile and the networking sections.
- The TwinSpace.
2. Useful digital apps to implement in our projects.

4. Interviews with successful etwinners.

A brief but enriching event where we will solve all those issues that the new plataform is giving us in a pleasant and confortable way. As it was a familiar reunion.

Emphasize the importance of nice and polite social environments. Therefore, it should not only say that it is welcoming to new members: we must make a proactive effort to foster positive feelings in them. One way to do this is to post a welcome message on the platform's social media pages, Slack channels, forums, or email lists. Projects may also consider maintaining a dedicated 'welcome' channel or list, where the project lead writes a short post asking newcomers to introduce themselves.

This day will include several activities:
1. Lecture on eTwinning and how to implement its projects in schools.

World cafe activity :
Participants are divided into 3 groups:
On each of 3 tables there are markers and a sheet of paper with a question that each group is asked to answer. Each group is given time to write down their ideas and opinions and then the groups change tables in a circle. The process is repeated so that all groups answer all the questions.
Questions
1.What are your expectations from etwinnng?
2.What are your fears ?
3.Which obstacles do you believe you are going to face ?
A discussion follows so that participants can share their thoughts and exchange opinions.

Another activity could be to pair new etwinners with more experienced ones and let the second ones be their guides and offer them assistance whenever they face a difficulty or have a question

Sometimes schools of the territory invite us ambassadors to present the platform to their teachers so that they might be able to set up projects. One activity - either in presence or online - we might arrange for new eTwinners and eTwinners-to-be is to divide the audience into groups. To each group we might give one of the 17 SDGs of the Agenda 2030 to work on. Teachers have to cooperatively think of a possible project plan – students’ age range, learning objectives, timing, activities – to be implemented in a future project ot be suggested to a partner. As a warm up activity for an event, I would give participants the link to Dall-e, which is an AI tool that create realistic images and art from a description in natural language. Then I would everyone to describe their feelings towards eTwinning and use the description to create an image on Dall e and share them on a padlet. I think a good way to welcome the new comers is to prepare a presentation of a well implemented eTwinning project. To show to others that eTwinning can be a beautiful world for their daily lessons, that teachers and pupils can learn the material in another interesting way by being part of the eTwinning community is a good way to motivate teachers to become members of the program. During one of such presentations I also asked teachers from the district to work together on a plan of a new project, showing them that it is not so difficult to initiate a project and involve pupils in it.

The team leader asks each participant to draw a clock on a sheet.

Each participant has to get an appointment with six different people at 2:00, 4:00, 6:00, 8:00, 10:00 and 12:00.

Each participant writes the name of the people they will meet at the wanted time.

The team leader announces: It is 2:00 and announces the first topic. Participants gather in pairs according to their appointment and chat abouth the topic; they have 3 minutes.

The project we imlemented at school is a student-oriented and hands-on project that deals with environmental issues. It is meant to raise the participants’ awareness of the problems we are facing nowadays. We want to develop activities thar help them understand that protecting the planet starts with them. We want to educate new generations to be more active and more involved in nature based activities.

AIMS

1. raise awareness about the effects of human activity on the environment at local, national and European level
2. educate young people in order to be more responsible and active in regards with environmental issues
3. create collaborative documents to show examples of good practice in communities
4. participate in workshops dealing with topics of pollution, recycling, consumerism, SDG
5. develop skills from the European framework ( languages skills, ICT skills, science skills, social skills, learning to learn, cultural skills)

WORK PROCESS

1. Introduce yourself
a. Introduction of school partners using videos/ presentations (uploaded on YouTube), followed by the creation of a common Kahoot! (using the Forum section for students)
b. Introduction of students – each partner will choose a tools to present their participants

2. The first step- answer the questionnaire about environmental awareness, environmental knowledge, climate change knowledge
3. Logo Contest- each participant country will send a logo for a competition. Students will vote in a Google form.
4. Recycling is the first step – students will express their opinions on recycling using Padlet – they will also upload photos or videos from their countries in order to show positive or negative examples.
5. Mass consumerism society – students will work on a Google presentation form in order to cover topics related to consumerism – the effects of consumerism as well as possible solutions
6. Between the river and the sea- create materials (videos, animations, posters, presentations) on how the plastic affects our everyday life. Create a common material showing curiosities about plastic: Did you know….?
7. Natural heritage – presenting elements of biodiversity from each partner school in a collaborative presentation. Students use Jam boards to present different aspects related to biodiversity and climate change in their areas.
8. Save the environment! – use Padlet to upload pieces of news from each partner school dealing with the topics of the project, comment on the pieces of news and reacting to them. Use Quiz in order to create a common quiz on different ways of recycling and other related topics.

this is my second academic year in my new school (high secondary school).
After my first year, and after one of my two eTwinning project won a QL certificate, some colleagues were more interested to know about eTwinning. So during summer break I prepared a month dedicated to action to get my colleagues closed to eTwinning: I showed what I did with my classes together to some students that had left their opinion about the vantages to work in an international dimension; then, some newcomers approached to the platform and we met to facilitate registration and how ESEP works. Finally, all together created a small eTwinning teamwork.
After the first month of the new academic year, we planned a small internationalization plan action that we have been running with 2 European schools (Spanish and Austrian schools).
It is becoming the best way to get newcomers closed to eTwinning: living project activities.

My activity is for new eTwinners.

In Portugal, each eTwinning school has been invited to create an eTwinning Junior Academy with students who have already developed eTwinning projects.

My idea is with this group of students to prepare a surprise activity for some teachers.

The students of the group would define topics to be addressed to teachers and be organized in pairs. Possible themes: Projects in which they participated, What they liked the most, What they learned, what is Etwinning and eTwinning Junior Academy...

Each student would invite 2 teachers of their choice who were not eTwinners to participate in a surprise activity.

On the day of the activity, the space would be organized in 6-seat tables where there would be two students at each table.

At the tables, the students will present to the teachers what they had organized and challenged them to ask them questions. In the end, each table invites a teacher to answer a few questions before the large group (What is the opinion on eTwinning? Student benefits?...)

The next step would be to challenge teachers to a meeting/course on etwinning where they would sign up and learn the initial steps at eTwinninhg.

To try to involve as many teachers as possible in the eTwinning world, it would be advisable to start with the organization of an event within the school community for the delivery of the national Quality Label certificates to the teachers and students involved in the projects and then the delivery of the gadgets. It will be the pupils themselves through their enthusiasm to show the benefits and opportunities offered by eTwinning through examples of collaborative and sharing activities. Immediately afterwards the teachers will be asked to write reflections on eTwinning using Mentimeter. The more experienced eTwinner teachers will then show the opportunities offered by the platform which is not just a place for virtual projects, but a place for professional development, a community of teachers ready to exchange good teaching-learning practices.

This activity was already put into practice, in February, in a face-to-face session that I held in a secondary school. The session aimed to raise awareness of eTwinning and to motivate teachers to join ESEP and create projects.

I made a face-to-face intervention in a seminar organized by an ICT inspector responsible for digital schools in the Sfax2 region where I am an eTwinning ambassador on it, and the audience is 80 teachers, some of them never know eTwinning, so I presented my intervention entitled "eTwinning is an example for the use of ICT", and I started my presentation with brainstorming with the Slido tool, then I presented the eTwinning program, then I answered these two questions with concrete examples: What achieves belonging to the eTwinning?
What is the effect on the student, teacher, and school?
I also presented how to create a project with other partners and what are the steps of an eTwinning project.
Technology is always used in the eTwinning project in any subject or field to enable partners from different countries to work collaboratively. There are many available Web 2.0 tools that can be used in various activities like Mentimeter, Slido, Kahoot, Wordwall, Quizziz, Padlet, Wakelet, Google tools, etc.
I concluded with the audience with a small evaluation with Kahoot to test their interests and a word cloud with Mentimeter for them to express themselves and give their opinion on eTwinning and it was a nice result.

Wonder is a virtual workspace for remote teams and is perfect both for regular meeting and occasional ones.
I discovered it during 2021 European Virtual Conference and tried it with students inside the eTwinning project e-nfluencers.
Now it has been revised and upgraded and offer a comfortable free option.
My activity proposal is for an online meeting of new eTwinners that want to start a project. After eTwinning presentation and description of how to join the ESEP platform, I think that is useful for participant having time to meet, exchange ideas and clarify doubts. This open space enables them to meet one-to-one or in small and large groups. They also can freely move from one group to another and enter the Q&A to the Ambassador Area to receive just in time explanation. I believe it can be a good opportunity to start working having immediate support: working alone, especially at the beginning, can be very frustrating.

Every year around October my school organizes a "Welcome course" for new teacher to illustrate the PTOF, the strategic documents, the electronic register, trolley, and dedicates a meeting of about two hours to Etwinning and Erasmus+. During the meeting, the school ambassador, shows the features of the platform and the project that have been carried out.
Etwinning days are organized throughout year to stimolate even the "old etwinner".

3 activity: completing a Padlet with project ideas, joining participants to one of their favorite projects and subsequent mentoring.

It is to create a new group or project (such as "first steps in eTwinning") and hide 5 eggs or stars around the web. They have to search and complete some forms/ short quizs / games to get the 5 eggs/stars.

For example:
1. They have one star in "forum" section so that they understand how new forum (new platform) works.
2. They have another star in a subpage (they have to complete a short survey to get it).
3. They have another star in pupils (we add a fake pupil with a star as avatar).

Step 1 : On the Internet School Platform I present the different projects year after year. Parents, pupils, teachers and anyone can see it.

I did this activity in my old school: together to a small groups of etwinners we spend a half day at school (3 hours) working with students that were involved in an eTwinning project. We worked following a Cross curricular method and at the end we shared our activity with our European partner in a videochat. Other newcomer teachers in this fantastic world could participate. They were able to be part and simulate the design of a learning unit and how eTwinning could be involved without feeling to have an extra work. Result: we could duplicate the number of teachers in eTwinning project, and it became more Cross curricular in our school.
Impact: Students became the actual protagonist of a meeting with other two schools of Ferrara when in an open day we showed our eTwinning projects. eTwinning projects ideas were multiplicated in new schools throughout new etwinners.

In my opinion pupils are the best ambassadors especially when they engage actively in the dissemination of processes and project products (for ex. through a speaking exhibit in the main hall of the school, special events, exchange of virtual also real visits). Students speak out through their engagement and enthusiasm. If you love teaching there is nothing more catching and succeeding in awakening your interest than students' commitment and motivation.

This is how I engage my students:
-informal first meeting with partner friends (when visiting, it may be a pizza dinner with the help of the families)

-plan the visit with lots of informal "breaks" between sport sesssions, art sessions, music sessions, where students can have a "local" snack and start socializíng

-organize activities with mixed groups (boys and girls from different countries but with a common linguistic background, all share a second, third languages nowadays)

-engage teachers as reporters, supervision, videomakers, engage caretakers, non teaching staff !

-set a corner for PR in a strategic high frequency and well seen corner in the school

-talk in preparatory planning, send a reminder mail before events, send documentation, send thanks

- interview stakeholders

-organize special events ( parents-teachers meetings, open day, first and last day of school)

-prepare awards for excellency in kindness, European dimension, plurilingualism, group players, leaders not only for school performances and grades

-engage special needs teachers and teachers with lots of classes ( for ex. art, sport, religion) they are very influencing

-make a walking poster session of activities with students showcasing their results in not-(yet) eTwinning classes

-help new teachers with registration on the platform or other initial doubts

-smile despite difficulties with new platform !

-keep calm and carry on eTwinning :)

This activity could be for new eTwinners who would like to join a project.

There are personal and professional questions in order to find participants’ skills and abilities that can help in an Etwinning project. There are also questions about Etwinning in order to check how much they know about the subject.

1- Send the bingo cards to the participants.

2- Organize a virtual meeting using a conference platform.

3- According to the number of participants, you can send them into breakout rooms to make it easier for them to have small group conversations and find teammates that match the prompts.

4- Participants ask questions to each other and mark the square with a name of another player who answers « YES » to the question.

5- Participants must try to fill the board entirely in a given time.

6- Participants go back to the main room and exchange about their common points. They can ask for and give additional information. It is also a great way to provide information about eTwinning.

For inactive eTwinners I would present an ice-breaking activity using the Mentimeter Poll Maker.
The question is: How do you say "Hello" in the eTwinning countries?
Through this simple activity they would be involved searching asap the web for information and discovering that the Community has largely grown up in the last years. It could be an excellent way to motivate them starting new projects and partnerships.

For new eTwinners, I would start a workshop with a speed dating warming-up activity.

Setup

Arrange the chairs in two or more lines so the participants sit facing one other person.

Participants can use their real identities; they should write the following information on a small piece of paper:

– Name
– Age
– Nationality
– Type of school they work for
– Hobbies
– Personality
– Likes/Dislikes (hobbies and personality types)

Participants keep their own card.

Activity

The participants introduce themselves to the person opposite and talk for two or three minutes, finding out as much as they can about each other.
At the end of the time, the participants on one side move one space to their left. The partcipants then start another conversation with their new partner.
Repeat until the participants arrive back at their original partner.
After the activity, each new eTwinner searches for another eTwinner, who is taking part in the workshop, in his/her country and adds him/her to the contacts in the eTwinning area. The winner is the eTwinner that gets more contact requests.

As an ambassador I was invited to participate in two webinars about etwinning. Most teachers in this webinars had never participated in an etwinning project and some didn´t even know about the platform. The first webinar dealt with my experience in etwinning. There I showed the different projects I´ve been involved in. The second webinar tried to encourage newcomers to use the platform as well as deepen into the first steps to become an etwinner. It was a practical webinar. Newcomers had to draft a simple project about a subject they were interested in. Before starting I shared different activities. Here I list some:

1. to trace participants´previous experience, I used google forms and show in a visual way the result to the participants.

2. to know their expectations, the activiy BRAINSTORM THE PROS OF ETWINNING and then create a digital wordcloud

3. to register and surf on the new eTwinning platform, I prepared a CANVA presentation.

4. to introduce themselves, the activity ONE DAY IN FIVE SHOT (pictures of a normal day to introduce yourself)

5. to acknowledge the code of conduct, the activity READ AND PREPARE AN INFOGRAPHY with the main tips regarding this issue

6. to know their expectations, the activiy BRAINSTORM THE PROS OF ETWINNING and then create a digital wordcloud

7. to promote digital competence, the participants were encouraged to add in a PADLET the digital tools suitable for the development of the project.

8. To awaken participants curiosity I displayed some pictures and projects on a board.

As eTwinning/ Erasmus + Ambassadors We arranged some meetings for new eTwinners to show them the great potentials of this kind of projects and also to get them familiar with the new ESEP. The face to face meetings have been really succesful because we shared our experiences and the new eTwinners had the opportunity to get involved into the "SYSTEM".
The new ESEP has actually created some problems to the already expert eTwinners due to the new procedures, so also for them we have dissaminated all the material our NA had arranged for the launch of the ESEP but in addition to the "Theorical" slides we have used the ESEP live so to make the Etwinners more comfortable in the use of it.
Practice is always the best way to show we must not be scared of what is new, but we must take advantage of the new progresses...Never give up, never despair :D

I organize webinars for new etwinners where I present the eTwinning community and platform. I emphasize the advantages of participating in eTwinning projects and the benefits that they as individuals, the school and the local community have from it. My idea is to engage since the very beginning.
A presentation seminar with the activities on the platform is what I usually do.
A brainstorming activity with mentimeter is a nice ice-breaking activities, then a practical presentation through different apps or webtools (e.g. genial.ly, Canva) with a view on cooperative projects I already completed and an idea to start new ones.
The best way to get other colleagues know more about the platform is to make them live the experience, so we can share a project together and they will have to grab new ideas to work more and more and to “spread the word”.
Materials uploaded and hands on activities are a good way (to have everything when they need).
In the end of the presentation course I always opt for a final Kahoot!

The change of platform has meant, at least in Spain, an obstacle for former eTwinners. I have thought of carrying out a webinar where in real time they can enter the platform with me, solving doubts and learning about the new functionalities. The Spanish National Service has created a group called first steps, which all ambassadors can use so that during seminars and training, both new and old etwinners get to know the ESEP platform in a real way.

One of the factors that distinguishes a quality project is, besides showing the final product, that the whole process is well documented leaving record or evidence of all the phases of the project implementation. As part of the documentation process, there should be record of the involvement of the different players, and especially of the students.
It is only natural that a teacher embarking on a new project should focus on a series of aspects that need to be specified in his or her planning such as the objectives to be attained, the subjects or curricular areas that are going to be involved in the project, the way to integrate the project in the curriculum, the way communication with the rest of the partners is going to be, the final results of the project, etc. There is one aspect that is seen as less important or planned in a rather superficial manner; nevertheless, if it is done well, it will enrich the project and the experience of everybody involved in it and of all those seeing the project. This aspect is the dissemination of the project which entails explaining what was done, showing the work process, the tools that were used, the created contents, and other significant elements.

What is the purpose of publishing what we do?

It is simply because we want the educational community and the public in general to know what we do and to help build a collaborative red of teachers who exchange experiences and knowledge about good practices in education.

I will suggest something about how to reawaken inactive eTwinners. Quite often I get questions from people who subscribed to ETwinning but did not actually use the platform or create any projects. Newcomers are the enthusiastic ones, so I don’t think we need to boost their interest. Did you know that you could use ETwinning as part of your curricular activity, for example to incorporate into your class the citizenship curriculum in a modern and motivating way ? For example why not collaborate with a foreign partner on the 2023 European Agenda on a topic that might interest you/your class. ETwinning offers a hands-on approach that really helps student focus and learn.

For beginners, I usually focus on the functionalities of the platform, quality criteria and integration into the curriculum with examples from my projects. If it is an event done together with our ISJ (school inspectorate), then all 4 eTwinning ambassadors from Botosani take part because each of us brings a different perspective, different challenges and solutions, examples. What the participants see is that yes, it is not a piece of cake, and yes, it takes a bit more planning but that even ambassadors have failed at some projects, so this gives them confidence.

To welcome newcomers, I would make them watch some videos about best practices and awarded projects with National and European quality Labels. I would propose a a wide range of projects on different subjects, so to give an idea of eTwinning and of its huge opportunities it may offer to students and teachers as well.

After videos, I would ask them, to write a profile of themselves, of their objectives and the way they want other teachers to perceive their engagement as teachers.

It's important to underline the importance of giving the right information and thus of editing a real profile, uploading a photo in order to give a face to our profile.

After this, with some slide presentations, I will present ESEP and its different sections and then I will support all the participants in the registration phase to login ESEP and soon afterward to register on eTwinning.

Then with practical tasks on a twinspace, created on purpose for my training session, I could motivate teachers to create workteams and make them use the twinspace and its tools.

I think getting started is difficult because you don't yet now your fellow colleagues. I think a "get-to-know-Ambassadors" activity would be useful. A simple activity in a live meet up could be, for example, to have people first go next to a person, who wears a same-coloured shirt as they do, then move next to a person who is as tall as s/he is etc...it is easy to do these activities even with a stranger. The next step is to also interview a colleague: in the next phase you will find a an Ambassador that is , for example, most likely the same age as you . Then your task is to find out is it so. After chatting with your new colleagues you will feel more comfortable starting projects or facilitating an event with them.

To present eTwinning to my community, I let the students do a presentation of their project when we have the eTwinning ceremony for the labels . They present it to their peers to involve new students in the next project. I also ask the students to do a presentation for the Open Days at school or during the Week of Languages ; We disseminate and write articles for the local newspaper for instance.

Regarding the twinspace , I find it easy to use the twinboard and to post images of all the activities you do with your students, it works like padlet or digipad. You can even inclede a digipad ( by la digitale ) in your twinboard .

To know your school partners, you can easily start with a Chinese portrait activity on a twinboard and the European partners can find what they have in common with their peers and use the forum to communicate between each other

Most beginners and eTwinners who were used to the former platform, but don't feel comfortable with the new one, struggle with the platform, so I would create some helpful self-explaining tutorials which involve pictures and practical advices. I would also mention that eTwinning makes teaching and learning easier and more efficient, because students and teachers use peer learning and profit from the experience the partners share within the project. Especially, in foreign languages your partners might be experts since the language you use for your project might be partly their mother tongue. Finally, that's why, you will no longer be left alone with your correction work :-)

As an eTwinning ambassador, I plan to organize an activity called eTwinning Speed Connection. This will be a fun and fast-paced session designed to help new and future eTwinners get to know each other and start building their professional network.

During the activity, participants will be divided into pairs and will have 3 minutes to introduce themselves, share their teaching subjects, and talk about what kind of projects they would like to join or create. After each round, they will switch partners.

To make it more engaging, I will use an online timer and breakout rooms (if it’s virtual) or a rotation system (if it’s face-to-face). At the end, we’ll have a short reflection session where everyone can share their impressions and exchange contact information.

The goal is to break the ice, create connections, and motivate new members to start their first eTwinning collaboration with confidence and enthusiasm.

To reawaken the interest of inactive eTwinners, I plan to launch a short, interactive online session called “Did You Know That...?”.

In this session, I will present interesting facts and updates about eTwinning — for example, new project opportunities, success stories from local schools, or useful tools in the platform that they might not be familiar with. I will include short quizzes and interactive polls to keep participants engaged.

For example:

“Did you know that you can join international projects directly from the platform?”
“Did you know that your eTwinning projects can help you apply for European Quality Labels?”

At the end of the session, I’ll invite them to share their past experiences in eTwinning and discuss what kind of support or collaboration they would need to become active again.

As an ambassador, I have prepared a simple and practical tutorial for new eTwinners, explaining how to register on the eTwinning platform and how to start using it effectively.

In this tutorial, I guide participants step by step through the registration process — from creating an account, verifying their email, and completing their profile, to joining their first project.

I’m planning to organize an event for teachers called “An Hour with an Ambassador,” where I’ll showcase examples of good practice – successful projects with NQL and EQL. I want to emphasize that eTwinning fully respects the new curriculum, precisely through project-based learning, which connects subjects and develops students’ competencies.

In addition, I’ll offer teachers the opportunity to participate in continuing professional development (CPD) – either as an upskilling or innovative training, where they can learn how to become part of the eTwinning community themselves. I believe this will be a great chance for inspiration and collaboration!

Description: An interactive online activity through which new members explore the eTwinning ESEP platform, its tools, and available resources.

How it unfolds:

A digiPad (https://digipad.app/ ) document with multiple “digital stations” is created.

Each station has a short challenge:

Find a project partner from a country whose language is studied at your school, take a screenshot, and post it on the digiPad.

Identify a project and write on the digiPad an idea that you could apply in your school.

Complete a quick quiz about online safety rules and best practices.

To welcome new eTwinners, we can organize an “eTwinning Treasure Hunt”. It starts with a short welcome message from ambassadors introducing eTwinning and real project examples. Newcomers then explore TwinSpace tools, find a project related to their subject, join it, post an idea or question in a shared Padlet, and share one expectation or curiosity about eTwinning. The activity ends with a brief Q&A and tips to help them start their first project. Activity Title: “eTwinning Starter Quest – A Digital Treasure Hunt for Newcomers”

To welcome new eTwinners and eTwinners-to-be, I would organise a short interactive “Starter Quest” – a digital treasure hunt designed to explore the eTwinning platform in a playful and stress-free way.

Instead of giving a traditional presentation, participants work in small teams (or individually) and complete small practical challenges such as:

Find and bookmark one inspiring project from your subject area
Send a short message to a potential partner
Explore TwinSpace and identify three useful tools for collaboration
Upload a short introduction about yourself in a shared space
Discover where to find professional development opportunities

Each task helps participants actively explore the platform and reduces the fear of “clicking the wrong thing”. At the end, we reflect together:
What surprised you? What seems easier than expected? What would you like to try first?

To make it even more engaging, the activity could include:

Activity 1. New eTwinners and eTwinners to be.

For this activity people needs to be gathered in a same space. I propose the activity for a group of 40/50 people who are in a course to learn about eTwinning. There will be different stations. The first station will be to choose who are you in eTwinning? I will use 4 or 5 images as metaphores, for example, a builder, a dreamer, a explorer, an innovator, etc. In each station there will be a sticker with a different colour. They will display the sticker on their clothes. Finally, each participant will go to station they feel more identified. Each one will explain why have chosen the station.

The following part will be fill in a card with the age of the students they teach. A card with a big number will be displayed on their clothes too. The third part will be to write down on a sticker one word that describes what they are passionate about ( related to education) for exmaple, tech, drawing, nature, history, maths, etc. . Finally they have to create gorups with one sticker of each colour, a range of students age of 3 years below the age of their stuents and 3 year upper it, and alike passions. Finally they can discuss about the topic they would like to work with the students.

Activity 2. Activity for inactive eTwinners. For this activity we will use an app to create a wordcloud. First Question will be: Describe with one word what is the most annoying about eTwinning? The second will be sending short sentences and the questions will be How could I sort out this annoying thing? and the 3r one: What will make me retake eTwinning projects? Once we get all the info we can open a debate. Finally I will finish the activity with some practical uses of eTwinning at the moment, for example the link with Erasmus +, students videos about the impact of eTwinning in their lives, etc.

Activity 3. For new eTwinners I will prepare a very simple presentation or take a video from my NA website to give them a quick view about eTwinning. Then I will use the same students videos presented on activity 2 to show them the impact that a simple project can have on students of different ages.

Activity: Find Your Project Partner

This activity can be organised in person or online to help newcomers connect in a simple and friendly way.

First, each participant briefly introduces themselves by saying a few words about who they are, the age of their students and which topics or themes they are interested in for a possible eTwinning project.

After this short introduction round, participants move into small groups based on shared interests. In these groups, they discuss their ideas in more detail and try to define what they could do together in a future project.

Each group is either supported by a more experienced eTwinner or provided with clear step by step guidance. This support helps participants understand how to stay in contact, how to connect through eTwinning and how to take the first steps towards starting a project together.

This activity creates a relaxed atmosphere, encourages exchange and gives participants practical support to move from a first idea to a possible collaboration.

One of the opportunities offered by eTwinning is the ability to combine Erasmus+ projects, or any other mobility program, with an eTwinning project. eTwinning provides a safe environment and, above all, allows students to prepare for a mobility program linguistically and culturally, connect with the host institution, and plan joint activities before, during, and after the mobility. However, the major problem is that many teachers involved in mobility programs are unfamiliar with eTwinning or hesitant to use it. I have created an infographic with ideas that can inspire the creation of a basic project to help plan an eTwinning project combined with an Erasmus+ group mobility program.

Many eTwinning newcomers have project ideas and potential partners, but often feel unsure about moving from inspiration to planning.

This introductory activity familiarises participants with Gilly Salmon’s Five Stage Model, a straightforward and supportive framework that provides a step-by-step approach to online collaboration.

During this interactive session, participants will discover how Gilly Salmon’s Five Stage Model can support them in planning their first eTwinning project. We will examine how

1.) access and motivation,

2.) online socialisation,

3.) information exchange,

4.) knowledge construction and

4.) development can provide a clear structure for designing meaningful collaborations.

Together, we map participants’ project ideas onto the five stages, exploring how various TwinSpace content types and tools, such as pages, forums, file repositories, live meetings, image galleries, blogs and collaborative documents, can actively support progress at each stage.

By linking their ideas to a practical digital workflow, newcomers will learn how to plan activities, encourage communication and achieve meaningful learning outcomes that will lead to a successful eTwinning project.

I propose an activity to be used during a training session with new eTwinners. This activity consists on a 30 minutes eTwinning Project challenge and the aim is to help teachers understand the structure of a Project.

Steps:

1- Form International Teams. Each participant gets a country card and must find other people with cards from different countries in order to form 'international groups'.

2- Each group receives an evelop with 3 cards ( a theme, a student age group and a digital tool).

3- Groups must create their mini projects using the cards and answering these questions showed in a presentation: What title would have the project; which would be the main objective; which key activities will be present in the project (like exchange welcome videos or create a joing digital product); Which would be the final product (posters, digital book, online exhibition, etc.)

4- Groups share their mini Project in one minute.

5- Participants share their comments about the different projects presented.

Once this activitiy is finished, the presenter will connect the activity with the real eTwinning platform showing all the steps needed from the creation of the project in eTwinning to the development of it in TwinSpace.

Learning Cafe - Invitation the teachers in my region

eTwinning is almost unknown to teachers in my region. Therefore, my idea is to organize a learning cafè one afternoon, similiar to a networking event.

First, I would introduce the platform and then present one or two succesful projects I have already carried out. Afterward, I would explain the benefits of eTwinning.

Finally, there will be enough time for discussion, questions and reflection. For this discussion I will provide existing outcomes from my projects.

During this workshop, teachers will explore the core pillars of eTwinning through a creative brainstorming activity focused on the features of the new educational paradigm.

Together, we will reflect on ideas such as:

🔹 Flexible learning spaces that encourage creativity and collaboration

After that session, we prepare an eTwinning project application as simulation: grouped in pairs, each couple is a country in Europe (flags are distributed among participants to make pairs) and they have to look and find a potential partner and make a draft os an eTwinning project.

eTwinning Ambassador take a role of Support Services and guide pairs with their project drafts.
