I enjoyed reading this book with my Mummy. We took it in turns to read each page so I could practice my reading skills. I liked that the crows feathers turned black at the end of the book and you could see the shine on the page.

Luke retold the story

"Crow and Hummingbird were looking for water and they spotted a jug at the side of a fir tree. Crow and Hummingbird spotted some water in the jug. Then Hummingbird started to drink from the jug with her long and thin bill. Then Crow looked in the jug and thought I'm on my own. Then he spotted some pebbles and put lots of them in the jug. Ater a while he got tired and very thirsty. In the end Crow finally made the shallow water creep to the top and he had lots of water to drink from."

I loved all the chapters in this book. Each chapter was a different story. My favourite one was Horrid Henry’s Swimming Lesson because some of the class said there was a shark in the deep end and when they all went down Horrid Henry was underwater and he nipped all of them. So they all got out because they were scared and Horrid Henry was the only one left in the pool so he was the only one that got a badge. He got his 5 meter badge.

My favourite bit is when Mr Big got his very first letter. It was an invitation from a music club. Mr Big was a secret piano player (pianist) and they wanted him to play with their band and they had a show the next day and guess what… he played with them. I liked this book a lot. Especially because the penguin is called Henry. Also when Mummy penguin didn’t go with Henry, so he felt funny because he wasn’t around Mummy penguin. I found it funny that Henry the penguin thinks that the best bit of a holiday is coming home, but with me I think it’s going there and being there that’s the best.

I really enjoyed this book, it makes me happy. My two favourite bits are when Mr Silly gets ‘an electric, fully automatic, instant, digital, computerised Thingumajig!’ I have know clue what that is. Don’t ask me what it is! My second and final favourite bit is when Mr Slow finally opened his present at Five o’clock in the afternoon… on what day? New Year’s Eve! I’ve got a Mr Christmas soft toy.

I’m still enjoying the book but I don’t like that there might be a hunt to kill the pheasants. I’m interested to find out what happens to the pheasants when Danny and his Dad put the raisins with powder in into their field. It is a bit funny that they stitch each raisin back up again after they’ve put the sleeping powder in!

I like all of the book but my favourite part was when all 120 pheasants flew out of the pram because it was funny. They didn’t have their flying ability so they all fell back down and landed on the filling station. Mr Victor Hazell the owner of all the pheasants went the right direction of where they were supposed to fly, but the pheasants ended up going in completely the wrong direction meaning they were finally free.

I liked all of the book, but my favourite part was when Grandma started shrinking because the medicine had something extra in it or something missing… it just wasn’t right… “A moment later she was no bigger than a pin…then a pumpkin seed.. then… then….” She was not visible anymore. It was a mystery…!

I loved the whole book, but my favourite part is the very last page, page 267. This is my favourite bit because they are saying bye to each other but they will never forget each other because Chloe will always be able to smell Mr Stink and Mr Stink will remember Chloe when he looks at the small twinkling star in the sky. My favourite character is now Mr Stink.

I love this book written by Caryl Hart and illustrated by Andy Rowland. I was involved in the storyline of this book because I went to some of the Story Maker sessions. My idea is in the book and that is one of my favourite bits. I said for them to get through the Scout tunnel they could throw bread into the canal to make the ducks jump in and that was put into the story.
