         <title>Parc vs. Pennsylvania</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Year: 1971</p><p>What did it accomplish?</p><p>It required that the state has to evaluate and place all students ages 6-21 with mental disabilities in an educational setting that is proper, funded and public.</p><p>What makes it unique?</p><p>It was one of the first cases to mark that people born with a disability should have the same access to an education as everyone else.</p><p>What are the benefits?</p><p>It is benefiting the student because they are able to get the same education as their peers and to be treated normally. This can also benefit the parent because it can take off the stress they may have around their child being treated poorly due to their disability. </p><p>Impact and Pillar:</p><p>LRE- Students need to be in the least restrictive environment in order for them to thrive. \</p><p>The impact on special education would be that students with disabilities are now able to get a free and appropriate education.</p><p><br></p>]]></description>
