Music and video by Eric Drass. This piece was created using original film footage and field recordings of the Perchten rituals, documented by Suzanne Rolfe. The Perchten tradition, rooted in Alpine folklore, is a powerful and often haunting celebration of the goddess Frau Perchta. The recordings capture the raw energy and atmosphere from several different Perchten Passe in and around Rattenberg.
